The robust stabilization problem of uncertain discrete system with delay and saturating actuators is investigated. A polytopic representation is used to describe the saturation behavior. The sufficient condition of robust stabilization is obtained by using parameter dependent Lyapunov function. Furthermore, the attractive domain is estimated. Finally, numerical example shows the effectiveness of the results.

Robust H/sub /spl infin// fault-tolerant control of a kind of descriptor delay linear system with uncertainty and disturbance is studied. By using state feedback and observer-based output feedback, control design schemes proposed for the cases of presence of actuator failures and simultaneous presence of actuator failures and sensor failures are given. The controller can be obtained by solving generalized Riccati inequalities.

A transfer line can be modeled as a linear system on maximal algebra. The model is also suitable to ATM and other rate-based communication systems. In respect to the rate-based speciality, a periodical input is considered as the system’s controller. Then some results in utilization, stability and congestion have been obtained. By use of them, we design an algorithm which integrates routing, resource allocation and flow control into a closed-loop architecture. It is adaptive and solves the problem of congestion and uneven resource utilization. It also succeeds in controlling delay and delay jitter.A transfer line can be modeled as a linear system on maximal algebra. Abstract The problems of stabilization and pole-assignment for decentralized singular systems are studied in this paper. In order to solve these problems, the concepts of decentralized fixed exponential modes and decentralized fixed pulse modes are applied. Under a given assumption, called the matching assumption, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for stabilization and arbitrarily approximate pole-assignment of decentralized singular systems. In the proof, we give a way to construct such controllers.
