Studies on the Unit Commitment of Thermal-Pumped Storage Plant Considering the Rapid Adjustment Characteristic of Pumped Storage Plant

Chen Xingying; Wang Hexian; Zhang Xiaohua

Based on the present condition of using coal burning units to shave depth peak and start-stop peak in the thermal power system, the model of thermal-pumped storage unit commitment is proposed considering the rapid adjustment characteristic of pumped storage plant. The changes of pumped storage plant among pumping water, generating power and supplying spinning reserve are more effectively. And the ability of peak shaving, energy-saving and emission reducing are enhanced. The static, dynamic and environment protection functions of pumped storage plant are considered synthetically.

Fan Tianrong; Chen Xingying; Liao Yingchen; Yu Kun; Chen Kai; Liu Jian

Considering operation constraints and the actual load characteristic, the maximum power supply capability and power supply margin of distribution network is real-time calculated, which evaluates more realistically the safety level of distribution network under the current operation mode. It is helpful for the distribution network to supply users safely and reliably with electricity of high quality, which is of great significance for analysis of the safe operation of the distribution network. In this paper, based on the actual load characteristics different kinds of load growth models are established by the least square method. The model for calculating the maximum power supply capability is proposed based on the load growth models. The power supply capability of distribution network under the current operation mode is calculated by the repetitive power flow algorithm, by which we can obtain an accurate and real-time power supply capability of distribution network, and to better evaluate the safety level of distribution network. That will provide scientific basis for prevention, control and recovery of distribution network. The simulation analysis shows that the model is simple and clear. That model can apply to any actual voltage level distribution network, and consider more operation constraints, and has a practical value.

Liao Yingchen; Gan Deqiang; Chen Xingying; Li Gang; Chang Hui; Yu Kun

By the fact that more and more distributed generations located in receiving power network, proper power arrangement of distributed generations is presented to optimize active power flow of receiving power network. Considering different effect on environment of various distributed generation, environment value index of contamination is used to evaluate the effect on environment of contamination. Based on it a model of environment cost included charge of emission and cost of environment guard against pollution is established. And then a model of OPF included environment cost is established by penalty function method. And primal dual interior point method is used to solve it. At last, simulation test is carried out on data of a receiving power network. The result indicates that cost and loss can be debased at one time, environment pollution can be reduced, on condition that considering environment cost, production cost and loss.

Research on maintenance schedule optimization of distribution network including distributed generation

Shen Peifeng; Mei Rui; Chen Xingying; Yu Kun; Zhou Dongxu; Luo Xin; Xu Honghua

There are more load transfer schemes can be formed when some device is in maintenance with distributed generation. Considering the effect of distributed generation, within a maintenance time period of a month, a multi-objective minimum optimization framework on distribution network maintenance scheduling for total outage capacity, total switching times, as well as total network loss is developed on constraints of mutually exclusive and simultaneous maintenance. In addition, the NSGA-II algorithm with multi-period overall coding is applied to solve the model and the optimal maintenance scheme of a month is chosen based on priority order of objective function. The example results prove the validity of the multi-objective model and the NSGA-II algorithm in maintenance schedule of distribution network.

Analysis on the allowed output of distribution generation considering distribution network static security

Zhu Hong; Wang Jixiang; Chen Xingying; Yu Kun; Ji Wenlu; Wang Chunning

Position and capacity of the distributed generations (DG) have a direct impact on static security of the distribution network. A method to calculating maximum allowed output of DG for each node using voltage sensitivity and current sensitivity based on linearized power equations is proposed, and it reduces the computation obviously. The calculation results are analysised. The method of installing DSTATCOM to improve maximum allowed power of DG is analysised. The accuracy and effectiveness of this method is tested by IEEE-33 system.
