Summary A methodology for collecting and scoring the dreams of subjects taking drugs has been presented. The examination of the dreams of 10 volunteer subjects showed that imipramine significantly decreased the number of dreams per night and significantly increased the expression of hostility per word of the dreams. There was a tendency for prochlorperazine to increase the expression of heterosexuality and phenobarbital to increase the expression of homosexuality in dreams. Nonspecific drug effects noted for all three of the drugs were an increase in the appearance of dependency and anxiety in the dreams and a decrease in intimacy.

THE &dquo;sit-in demonstration&dquo; is a unique and modern manoeuvre of non-violent passive resistance in the American Negro’s struggle to obtain equal treatment in public places. Most of the participants have been children in their teens or even younger. It is the purpose of this paper to present some observations concerning sit-in demonstrations and their significance from the social-psychiatric point of view.
