Q-Switched Operation of a fs-Laser Written Nd:YAG/Cr4+:YAG Monolithic Waveguide Laser

Thomas Calmano; Anna-Greta Paschke; Sebastian Mueller; Christian Kraenkel; Günter Huber

A Ti:Sapphire-pumped Q-switched waveguide laser was fabricated by fs-laser-writing of two parallel tracks in a bonded Nd:YAG/Cr4+:YAG-crystal. We achieved 1-ns-pulses with an average output power of 300 mW and 300 kHz repetition rate.

Lasers Congress 2016 (ASSL, LSC, LAC) (2016), paper AM3A.2 | 2016

Continuous Wave and Wavelength Tunable Green Tb 3+ :CaF 2 Laser

Christian Kraenkel; Philip Werner Metz; Günter Huber

We obtained up to 100 mW of cw green output around 541 nm with Tb3+(10%), Na+(10%):CaF2 under pumping with a 2ω-OPSL at 486 nm and a continuous wavelength tuning between 540 nm and 550 nm.

Ultrafast Laser Inscribed Pr:KY 3 F 10 Waveguides for Dual Wavelength and Switchable Waveguide Lasers in the Visible

Thomas Calmano; Alberto Sottile; Philip Werner Metz; Daniela Parisi; Christian Kraenkel; M. Tonelli; Günter Huber

Diode pumped fs-laser written Pr:KY3F10 waveguide lasers with 42 mW output power in the visible spectral region are presented. Utilizing polarization dependent spectroscopic properties of cubic Pr:KY3F10 dual wavelength and switchable laser operation was achieved.

International Photonics and Optoelectronics Meetings (2012), paper MF1A.2 | 2012

Diode-pumped sesquioxide lasers in the near- and mid-infrared range

Christian Kraenkel; Kolja Beil; Philipp Koopmann; Tao Li; Guenter Huber

Cubic sesquioxides are excellent host materials for various trivalent rare earth ions emitting in the 1, 2, and 3 µm wavelength range. In this contribution we review the state of the art of Yb3+-, Tm3+-, Ho3+-, and Er3+-doped Lu2O3 lasers emitting in the near- and mid-infrared spectral range.
