The hydrogenation on Raney nickel of 3-alkenyl-substituted pyrazolines and also of 3-methyl-5-(2-furyl)-1H-pyrazoline and 3,3′-bipyrazoline afforded substituted 1,3-diaminobutanes, 1,3-diaminopentanes, 1,3-diaminohexane, and 1,3,4,6-tetraaminohexane. Under the same conditions from 3-acetyl-4-(2-furyl)-1H-pyrazoline 3-amino-2-methyl-4-(2-furyl)pyrrolidine was obtained.

3-Vinyl- and 3-[(Z)-prop-1-en-1-yl]-4,5-dihydro-3Hpyrazoles Ia and Ib reacted with 20 equiv of MnO2 in benzene at room temperature to produce 3-vinyland 3-[(Z)-prop-1-en-1-yl]-1H-pyrazoles IIa and IIb in 36 and 49% yield, respectively (Scheme 1). No cis–trans isomerization of the propenyl substituent occurred under these conditions, as followed from the coupling constant 3 J1′, 2′ = 11.5 Hz in the 1 H NMR spectrum of compound IIb.

Reactions of methyl exo-3,4-diazatricyclo[5.2.1.02.6]dec-4-ene-5-carboxylate with methyl diazoacetate, methyl iodide, ethylene oxide, acetic acid, nitrosonium cation, and sulfur led to the formation of a series of N3-substituted exo-3,4-diazatricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]dec-4-enes.

Changes in the Raman spectra of N2, H2, and CO2 are studied in the range of 200–3800 cm–1 depending on the concentration of surrounding CH4 molecules at a fixed medium pressure of 25 atm and temperature of 300 K. It has been found that changes in the spectral characteristics of purely rotational H2 lines in a CH4 medium are negligible, while the Q-branches of the v1/2v2 Fermi dyad in СO2 become narrower and wavenumbers of its high-frequency component and v1 band of N2 decrease. In addition, under these conditions, the ratio of intensities of the CO2 Fermi dyad Q-branch varies in proportion to the concentration of surrounding molecules of CH4. The obtained data will be used in diagnosing the composition of natural gas using Raman spectroscopy.

A method based on ultrasonic thermometry for detecting radiation in the IR range is described. The first results of experimental verification of this method are presented using the example of CO2-laser-radiation detection, and ways to improve its threshold sensitivity are described.

The excitation of space-charge waves in a semiconductor (B12GeO20) crystal using light with photon energy close to the bandgap width has been studied. The sample crystal has been optically excited by exposure to an oscillating interference pattern. The existing model notions are consistent with the experimental results.

Synthetic procedure was developed for preparation of exo-oriented di- and tetraamines of the norbornane series by 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition to norbornene and norbornadiene of generated in situ diazomethane followed by reduction of arising pyrazolines catalyzed by Raney nickel.

Exo-2-amino-exo-3-aminomethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptane (I) and 5-amino-exo-3-azatricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decan-4-one (II) were synthesized and characterized with respect to antiarrhythmic activity. Compound II exhibited antiarrhythmic activity with ED50 = 0.28 and 0.33 mg/kg on the aconitine and calcium chloride models of arrhythmia, respectively. Compound I did not show antiarrhythmic activity and exhibited acute toxicity corresponding to LD50 = 450 mg/kg.

The possibility of applying surface-enhanced Raman scattering (RS) for amplification of RS intensity in gaseous media is investigated. A more than sixfold enhancement of the RS signal is detected experimentally from the main atmospheric air components during interaction of continuous-wave laser radiation with a holographic aluminum diffraction grating. The averaged value of the RS signals’ amplification factor in the near-surface 30-nm-thick layer at the boundary between the diffraction grating and gaseous medium amounted to ~3 × 103.

Abstract3-Vinyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrazole reacted with sodium nitrite in acetic acid to give 3-vinyl-1-nitroso-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole, whereas 3-isopropenyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrazole under analogous conditions was unexpectedly converted into a nitro derivative, 3-(1-methyl-2-nitrovinyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazole.
