OBJECTIVE The aim of this present study was to use Luminex technology to detect antibodies against the late antigen L1 as well as those directed against the early antigens E6 and E7. BACKGROUND DATA Human papillomavirus (HPV) serology is complex because infection and disease lead to distinct type-specific antibody responses. MATERIALS AND METHODS Viral antigens were expressed with pGEX vectors in Escherichia coli and then used in Luminex as coating antigens for antibody detection in 205 human sera samples: 71 cervical cancer cases, 64 cases of cervical inflammation, and 70 controls. RESULTS The data showed that 90.14% of sera among the cervical cancer patients had seropositivity toward at least one of the HPV 16 or HPV 18 antigens. Moreover, the percentages of positivity toward E6 and E7 HPV 16 antigens were 44% and 61%, respectively, versus only 21% for the L1 antigen. Among cervical cancer patients, the data showed different distributions in women of different ages. In addition, the intensity of the antibody response was also different for the six antigens analyzed. CONCLUSIONS Antibody detection depends on the type of antigen, and is well correlated with international scientific findings. The differences in antibody response between patients with inflammation and patients with cervical cancer were significant.

during 4 minutes, curantyl (50mg t.i.d.), medical food product – polisol (1 tbsp t.i.d.), tivortin (4.2% infusion solution), phenibut. Intrapartum epidural anesthesia was carried out. Methods: The study of uterine pressure was held by the biomonitoring BMT 9141 RFT Biomonitor (Germany). The serotonin concentration in blood was examined by the method of S. Udenfriend (1965). The fetus state evaluation was held by the method of Fisher (in points). Results: The serotonin concentration at the beginning of the first period of the pregnant women delivery was: for the 3-d group of women – (0.600±0.01) mmol/L; for the 2-nd group of women – (0.618±0.01) mmol/L; and for the 1-st group of women – (0.672±0.02) mmol/L. At the end of the first period of delivery the serotonin concentration was: (0.696±0.02) mmol/L, (0.649±0.01) mmol/L and (0.850±0.01) mmol/L respectively. An increase of serotonin concentration in blood is accompanied by the uterine contractile activity. The fetus state rating of pregnant women in the dynamics of delivery by Fisher was as follows: healthy women – (8.7±0.12) points, the 2-nd group – (6.743±0.11) points, and the 1-st group – (7.9±0.3) points. Conclusions: Thus, the developed complex of therapy helped to improve the uterine contractile activity and the fetus state during delivery, which contributed to the reduction of perinatal complications frequency.

Results: 134 patients were identified. 76 patients bled 1500mls1999mls, 36 bled 2000–2500mls and 21 more than 2500mls. 37% had an spontaneous vaginal delivery, 15% forceps delivery, 2% ventouse delivery and 46% had a caesarean delivery. The available data on BMI shows that 64% had a normal BMI, 18% were grade I obese, 3% Grade II obese and 15% Grade III obese. Causes of PPH were 66% atonic, 16% traumatic, 4% retained placenta, 4% trauma during caesarean section and 10% other. 12.6% of patients required blood transfusion. Only 2 of these cases were caesarean deliveries. Conclusions: PPH remains an important cause of maternal morbidity and mortality. There is a high rate of obesity in cases of PPH. It represents a significant strain on blood transfusion services.
