Device mobility management in content-centric networking

Due to rapid developments in mobile technologies as well as various embedded multimedia features, user created mobile contents are on the increase, in terms of both quality and quantity, and at the same time are shared in real time. To keep pace with such trends, a new networking technology called content-centric networking has appeared. However, it does not consider the extra requirements to support device movements. Thus, this article proposes a mobility management scheme for CCN to provide faster service access latency and lower routing overhead.

A Efficient Contents Verification Scheme for Distributed Networking/Data Store

ABSTRACT To seamlessly provide content through the Internet, it is gener ally considered to use distributed processing for content reque sts converged on original content providers like P2P, CDN, and ICN. That is, after other nodes temporally save content, they handl e content requests instead of original content providers. However, in this case, it may be possible that a content sender is dif ferent from the original provider of the content. In this case, users may be exposed to various risks. To solve such a problem, it is highly recommended to verify received contents before using the m, but it can cause network traffic increases as well as a seri ous service delay. This paper proposes an efficient content verific ation scheme for distributed networking/data store environments and analyzes its performance. Group-Interest-Based Verifiable CCN

To solve various problems of the Internet, content centric networking (CCN), one of information centric networking architectures (ICN), provides both an in-network content caching scheme and a built-in content verification scheme. However, a user is still asked to generate many request messages when retrieving fragmented content through CCN. This model can seriously increase the amount of network traffic. Furthermore, when receiving content, a user is asked to verify the received content before using it. This verification process can cause a serious service delay. To improve such inefficiencies, this paper proposes a transmission process to handle request messages at one time. Also, it suggests an efficient content verification method using both hash chains and Merkel-hash tree.

Efficient and secure NDN

Named data networking architecture (NDN) is proposed to solve various Internet problems like network congestion, weak security, device mobility and so on. For that, NDN suggests a request driven communication, a packet forwarding mechanism referring to the identity of contents, not to the identity of a device as well as a content verification process. However, it causes network inefficiency to transmit mass request messages and a serious service delay by recursively verifying transmitted contents. In this paper, we suggest a new message structure of the request message of NDN and a procedure to handle the proposed request message. Also, this paper proposes an efficient content verification method for NDN.
