Daniel Zirkel; Steven Liu; Gunter Wiedemann

Ordnung. Abstract This article introduces a new control concept for flat nonlinear systems. It is shown that a serial setup of controller and flat feedforward allows a linear control design. This method is compared with published flatness-based concepts such as feedback linearization, feedforward linearization and internal model control. In addition the convergence of the tracking error system is investigated by means of linearization and polytopic expressions. A pressure control of a fuel-cell air system serves as an example.
