Spontaneous emission between two parallel plates, one or both infinitely permeable

Danilo T. Alves; C. Farina; A. C. Tort

We compute the modification in the spontaneous emission rate for a two-level atom when it is located between two parallel plates of different nature: a perfectly conducting plate

Physical Review D | 2008

Quantum radiation force on a moving mirror with Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions for a vacuum, finite temperature, and a coherent state

Danilo T. Alves; Edney R. Granhen; Mateus G. Lima

and an infinitely permeable one

Physical Review D | 2013

Inhibition of the dynamical Casimir effect with Robin boundary conditions

Andreson L. C. Rego; B. W. Mintz; C. Farina; Danilo T. Alves

Physical Review A | 2013

Relativistic bands in the spectrum of created particles via the dynamical Casimir effect

Andreson L. C. Rego; Danilo T. Alves; C. Farina; João Paulo da S. Alves

. We also discuss the case of two infinitely permeable plates. We compare our results with those found in the literature for the case of two perfectly conducting plates.

TIME-DEPENDENT ROBIN BOUNDARY CONDITIONS IN THE DYNAMICAL CASIMIR EFFECT

C. Farina; Hector O. Silva; Andreson L. C. Rego; Danilo T. Alves

We found new signatures of the dynamical Casimir effect (DCE) in the context of superconducting circuits. We show that if the recent experiment made by Wilson {\it et al}, which brought the DCE into reality for the first time, is repeated with slight modifications (for instance, different values for the capacitance of the SQUID), three remarkable results will show up, namely: {\it (i)} a quite different spectral distribution for the created particles, deviating from the typical parabolic shape; {\it (ii)} an enhancement by a factor of approximately

Exact behavior of the energy density inside a one-dimensional oscillating cavity with a thermal state

Physical Review A | 2003

Influence of two parallel plates on atomic levels

Danilo T. Alves; F. A. Barone; C. Farina; A. C. Tort

in the number of created particles with half driven frequency of the effective moving mirror and {\it (iii)} an enhancement by a factor of

Dynamical Casimir effect with
