The use of a single limited posteriorapproach and reduction techniques for specific patterns of acetabular fractures

Abstract Open reduction and internal fixation is required for the majority of displaced acetabular fractures. When openreduction is indicated, a single surgical approach can usually be selected that will permit optimal reduction and stabilization without the need for a second incision. The authors present those acetabular fracture patterns that can typically be addressed with a posterior Kocher-Langenbeck approach, as well as the techniques required for their reduction and stabilization.
