CDRA: Cluster-based dynamic routing approach as a development of the AODV in vehicular ad-hoc networks

Ramesh C. Poonia; Deepshikha Bhargava; B. Suresh Kumar

Over the last few decades, the researchers have been fascinated towards vehicular networks. Vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) is a highly dynamic wheeled network where the on road vehicles and road - side units considered as nodes to allow the wireless communication. Each node acts as the host in VANETs. Due to high dynamic nature of VANETs the mobility pattern and the network topologies change frequently, that make it differ from the other type of ad-hoc network The challenge of this research is a crucial designing for dynamic routing protocol in VANETs. This paper proposes a cluster-based approach for dynamic routing in VANETs. This new routing approach have an aim of increasing the overall network throughput, delivery ratio with less normalized routing load in comparison of AODV Extensive simulations are carried out in NS2 to appraise the efficiency of the proposed cluster-based routing approach.

Enhanced Accident Detection System Using Safety Application for Emergency in Mobile Environment: SafeMe

Amit Hirawat; Deepshikha Bhargava

Road accidents claim a huge toll on precious human life all over the world. However, significant amount of lives could be saved if the information regarding the accident could be communicated within critical time. Our paper proposes a formal model of vehicular accident detection through a mobile application which can be run on a smartphone. It aims at detecting a vehicle accident and subsequently notifies a pre-determined list of people so that medical assistance can be provided to the victim as soon as possible. Also details such as location of the victim, intensity of the collision, information about nearby hospitals, ambulance service and police station, are conveyed to a predefined list of recipients. To detect the occurrence of an accident with fair accuracy, the proposed algorithm takes into account the acoustic data, gyrometer sensor inputs, accelerometer data, and the GPS coordinates data—all from the inbuilt smartphone hardware. A weighted average of all these factors is compared against a dynamic threshold. Such a weighted average mechanism significantly reduces false positives.

Mind Reading by Face Recognition Using Security Enhancement Model

Vranda Vyas; Sameer Saxena; Deepshikha Bhargava

Face recognition has always been an area of interest for the researchers because it seems so fascinating in itself. As the time has passed, the evolution of human brain and social intelligence has enhanced the analysing power of a human brain for the displaying of face to infer the emotion accordingly. Face of a human being is considered to be the most common channel to read and infer the emotion in the case of mind reading. Theory of mind (ToM) is the inbuilt technique provided to every human being “as reported by Premack and Woodruff (Behav Brain Sci 1:515–523, 1991)”. According to ToM, a person has the ability to read someone else’ mind. Mind reading has a great amount of future advancement if worked upon with the different equipment and devices in the high-tech laboratories. The researchers have worked in this direction and have developed softwares. The aim of such software is to apply concept of security in face recognition but still there is a scope for improvement. This paper presents a comparative study between algorithms used for detecting the face as the key component in mind reading. Further, a model is proposed to enhance the security in face recognition. The proposed model also suggests interface that would help users to identify the people watching their pictures posted online.

Fuzzy keyword search and ranking frame work of DRS based file information management system using TF-RDF ranking strategy

B. Suresh Kumar; Deepshikha Bhargava; Ramesh C. Poonia

Increasing of data now in these days are creating a big problem to manage in file information management system. For this we need a system which is scalable for data retrieval to get efficient results. To overcome this problem so many researchers were proposed the solution for data retrieval, but they were not so efficient with each others which may contain so many drawbacks. In this paper will introduce a frame work with fuzzy logic which retrieves the data multi- dimensionally ranked by TF*IDF. The above ranking is based on various dimensions like content, file structure and meta data etc., which may gives the accurate results. After generating the results individually the relevant scores can be merged which generates the meaningful unified score gives the top ranking. The keyword based on fuzzy with TF-IDF ranking strategy is reliable than the previous models.

Run-time performance analysis of non-agent based solution for Inter Process Synchronization problem

Deepshikha Bhargava; Madhavi Sinha; Ramesh C. Poonia

Inter Process Synchronization is aimed at providing interrupt free and deadlock free well-structured communication among processes. The approach used is generally non-agent oriented approach which may lead to deadlock situation. This paper analyzes the runtime performance of non-agent based solution to IPS Problem. In this paper the testing is carried out and the results are obtained under time intervals T1 to T10 for eleven different parameters. Further based upon the correlation among parameterized variables, only five dependent variables were selected during the test conducted. The analysis is based upon the testing conducted on Window 7, a GUI based operating system. The results motivate the need of agent oriented approach to resolve the IPS problem.

A scheme of features fusion for facial expression analysis: A facial action recognition

N. Kumar; Deepshikha Bhargava

Abstract The study of emotions is very tough job which sounds in the form to recognize the facial expressions of human face. This problem is quite challenging because of various face architecture of the facial parts of human. In fact it is variant with locality. It becomes hot topic of research for hearing impaired people. Facial expression is considered as a part of sign language recognition (SLR).The pre-processing involves face detection using the algorithm proposed by Viola and Jones using Haar-cascades for facial part detection. In this work, we purpose a fusion of texture local binary pattern, landmark based active shape model (ASM) of geometric features. The features are trained and tested by multi-class support vector machine (SVM).
