The fractal-regular profile with the properties of stochastic, multi-scale and self-affinity is introduced to present the rough inner surface of the lossy coaxial waveguide in this letter. Equivalent surface impedance boundary condition (ESIBC) is implemented in the 4-component compact 2-D finite difference frequency domain (2-D CFDFD) method to analyze the propagation characteristics of lossy coaxial waveguide with fractal rough surface based on Weierstrass-Mandelbrot (M-W) function. The advantages of the 4-component 2-D CFDFD method are reserved by applying ESIBC. The effects of fractal parameters (D, G) on attenuation constant are presented and the results are discussed in detail.
