This paper introduces the significance of indoor positioning and analyzes the related problems. The latest research on indoor positioning is introduced. Further, the positioning accuracy and the cost of typical local and wide area indoor positioning systems are compared. The results of the comparison show that Time & Code Division-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (TC-OFDM) is a system that can achieve real-time meter-accuracy of indoor positioning in a wide area. Finally, in this paper, we indicate that the seamless high-accuracy indoor positioning in a wide area is the development trend of indoor positioning. The seamless Location Based Services (LBS) architecture based on a heterogeneous network, key technologies in indoor positioning for decimeter-accuracy and seamless outdoor and indoor Geographic Information System (GIS) are elaborated as the most important research fields of future indoor positioning.

A verification environment to verify an ARM-based SoC (system-on-chip) by using system Verilog is presented in this paper. The new verification constructs can be easily reused for the objected-oriented feature of SystemVerilog. The paper also introduced how to design the AMBA (advanced microprocessors bus architecture) verification IP (intellectual property) by SystemVerilog, which include AHB (advanced high performance bus) master and AHB monitor. The verification IP can be reused to verify any AMBA protocol based SoC. To reduce the time spending in the verification, a reference model designing method is also discussed in the paper.

Binary Offset Carrier (BOC) has been chosen as one of modulation methods in the future Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). Even though BOC signals can bring several advantages such as better track performance and higher positioning accuracy, there is a drawback that the autocorrelation functions have multiple side-peaks if BOC modulation is adopted. This characteristic will lead to false acquisition and the tracking loop will be locked in false phase point. The proposed Correlation Combination Ambiguity Removing Technology (CCART) cancelled all the side-peaks of the sine-phased BOC(kn,n) signals completely by making use of two kinds of correlation functions. Two kinds of sub-correlation functions were combined separately and then final correlation function without side-peaks was acquired. The simulation results are given and compared with other techniques. It is shown that acquisition will not be degraded with the increase of k.

A kind of dual-band Inverted-F micro-strip antenna operating in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, which is embedding L shape slots, has been designed in this thesis. And the structure of the antenna is improved to make the antenna smaller so that it can be easily integrated on WLAN wireless network card compatible with the 802.11 a/b/g. A lot of simulations are also done to analyze the geometric dimensions of antenna on the performance of the antenna resonance. The simulation results show that this antenna has good performance and can be widely applied in WLAN system.

The heat conduction characteristic of integrated micro chamber Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) biochip based on Micro Electro Mechanical System (MEMS) technology is analyzed by COMSOL Multiphysics. Reaction solution vaporize in the middle air layer between the reaction solution and glass cover, and the temperature differences lead to a condensation of the gaseous reaction solution to the glass cover, and this reduce reaction efficiency and reaction output, also affect the following work of PCR and chip cleaning. The improved of the typical integration micro chamber PCR chip applies the same structure of serpentine heat resistance at the top and bottom of reaction chamber, and heat resistances are controlled by the same microprocessor. The simulation results show that improved structure restrain the condensation of the gaseous reaction solution, and provided a uniform temperature for the PCR reaction chamber.

A feature frame description method of knowledge oriented to intelligent engraving with learning is proposed. It is simple to search, easy to classify, record and describe the engraving feature and its procedure technology, and to inherit artistic style with interactive teaching and machine learning. The feature knowledge of engraving can be extracted from curving procedure through harmonic analysis. With the frame structure of knowledge on engraving, it is convenient to describe sculptured surfaces exactly.
