HLA-based multi-aricraft combat simulation system

Peisheng Wu; Bo Cai; Dengyi Zhang; Zhigang Zhou; Yu Chen

Aircraft combat simulation training system is extensively applied to modern airforce training instead of the real flight training, for that it is less expensive but more flexible. In order to satisfy the need of complex training like collaborate fighting, this paper implemented a multi-aircraft combat simulation system for aircraft training based on HLA (High Level Architecture). This system builds up the virtual training environment with LOD model and is capable of supporting collaborative simulation with multi-machines.

Paged Cache Based Massive Terrain Dataset Real-Time Rendering Algorithm

Zhigang Zhou; Bo Cai; Dengyi Zhang; Xubing Zhang

This paper presents real-time rendering algorithm of massive terrain dataset based on paged cache. This paper improves the least recently used (LRU) replacement algorithm to swap terrain cache pages, and uses a kind of quadtree terrain pyramid model to organize and manage terrain massive dataset. And real-time loading of terrain data is implemented using view frustum culling and rapid research algorithm for target page based on the resolution test. At the same time, in order to further improve efficiency and parallelism,we use multithreaded programming to read data and generate terrain patch. The experimental results show that usage of cache technology can improve real-time interaction for large scale scene rendering, and the application of multiple threads lets it more fluent. Satellite Illumination Algorithm Applied to Panel Multi-Axis Rotation

Ling Li; Bo Cai; Jing Hu; Biao He; Yuan Long; Dengyi Zhang

This paper firstly introduces the importance of satellite illumination analysis in aerospace fields and points out that illumination conditions will influence the design of shape of satellite body and the installation of satellite equipments. Then,it discusses two methods for analyzing satellite solar-panel shadow and illumination conditions:ray tracing illumination algorithm and polyhedral mesh contour edge projection algorithm and compares their efficiency and feasibility. We designed solar panel single-axis rotation experiment to validate the proposed algorithm. The experimental results show that contour edge projection algorithm has fine accuracy and costs less time.

Knowledge Based Oblique Car Recognition Algorithm

Bo Cai; Feng Tan; Yi Lu; Dengyi Zhang

Many existing car recognition algorithms are aiming at front/back and side view car detection. In this paper,an oblique car recognition algorithm is proposed. The algorithm is designed based on the common knowledge of the car, such as shape, contour, structure and so on. The experimental results of many oblique car images show that our method has fine accuracy in oblique car recognition.

A novel attitude measurement system base on mems-sensors

Yu Chen; Bo Cai; Dengyi Zhang; Xuhui Chen; Peisheng Wu

In this paper, an inexpensive sensors-based attitude measurement system has been developed, and a novel attitude parameters calculation method is provided. The system consists of a low-cost tril-axial accelerometer, a low-cost tri-axis magnetic sensor and a microprocessor to detect the attitude parameters in real-time. Compensation techniques are shown to offset for temperature effects and nearby ferrous material disturbances. The reliability and performance of the designed system have also been verified through real experiments which show that the new system has great potential in applications

Fuzzy Clustering Based Car Recognition Algorithm

Bo Cai; Xubing Zhang; Dengyi Zhang; Yi Lu

In this paper, a car recognition algorithm based on fuzzy clustering of multiple features of car image is proposes. Firstly main color model and image pyramid are used to get complete contour of car. Then round rate, Fourier descriptor, direction ratio and circumference ratio are extracted and analyzed in detail. Afterwards all features are combined into a feature vector and fuzzy clustering is used to find the cluster centers of the car classes. Finally similarity between the feature vectors of the input image and the cluster centers of the car classes is used to implement car recognition. The experimental results show that our method has fine accuracy in car recognition. KeywordsFuzzy clustering ;Feature vector;Canny operator;Object similarity; Pattern matching
