Manufacturing Component Parts of Mining Equipment With Application of Hardening Technologies

Denis V. Valuev; N N Malushin; A.V. Valueva; R S Dariev; R A Mamadaliev

To ensure highest hardness and wear resistance the authors develop an aggregate technology of manufacturing mining equipment component parts. The aggregate technology of manufacturing faced component parts includes the following operations: plasma-jet hard-facing with high-speed steels; high-temperature tempering after the facing, ultrasonic surface strengthening treatment, additional tempering, reconstructive facing.

Traditional Technology of Chromium-Tungsten Steels Facing, its Disadvantages and Suggestions for their Eliminations

Denis V. Valuev; N N Malushin; A.V. Valueva; R S Dariev; R A Mamadaliev

To reveal the disadvantages of the traditional technology of facing with chromium-tungsten steels analysis of the given technology was completed. The analysis showed that the main disadvantages of the technology are high-temperature heating and underutilization of high-alloyed metal properties. To eliminate the disadvantages we developed the methods of facing allowing obtaining faced metal which state is close to that of the hardened one without cracks.

Optimizing Technological Parameters of the Reduction Processes in Treating Steels in a Ladle Furnace

R.A. Gizatulin; Denis V. Valuev; A.V. Valueva; A. Serikbol; I. F. Borovikov

This work reports the possible development of reduction processes when treating the molten metal and slag using a ladle furnace under conditions of intensive stirring with an inert gas. The industrial data have been received, confirming the possibility of decreasing the concentration of ferrous and manganese oxides in the slag and stabilizing the contents of manganese and silicon in the metal.

Kinetic Study of the Effect of Plasticity and its Role in Stress Relaxation in the Weld Speed Steel during the Martensitic Transformation

N.N. Malushin; Denis V. Valuev; A.V. Valueva; A. Serikbol

It is shown that in the weld metal of the type of high-speed steels observe the effect of kinetic plasticity and he owns a defining role in stress relaxation. It is shown that the kinetic effect of plasticity can be used to control the stress in the weld details.

Application of Integrated Methods to Improve the Technological Properties of Steel

S.N. Fedoseev; Denis V. Valuev; R.A. Mamadaliev; P.N. Sokolov

Getting a new generation of materials, advancing by its qualities world counterparts, among the most important objectives of the creation of scientific and technical groundwork in various fields of science and technology. Particular attention is paid to technological metals and their alloys; materials having the fine and ultrafine structure, single crystal, amorphous and powder materials. The preparation of such materials is possible thanks to new production technologies, modern equipment and the use of costly additives or use of technologies with application of complex measures for these materials. One way to obtain the desired technological properties is the use of complex natural materials. This method is cheaper compared to other costs, and requires no additional equipment, as well as lower costs of preparatory. For more efficient use of these components is necessary to preliminary processing, which will improve the effect of the use of steel in the modification. The type of treatment can be varied by mechanical activation powder to extract individual components. As a result of a series of studies on the impact modifiers to change the structure and properties of steel were detected changes in the structure; in particular the number of non-metallic inclusions was reduced.Heat treatment allows improving effect of modifying the structure of steel and the items received.

Extraction of Chromium from Carbon Ferrochromium Residual Wastes

P. P. Lazarevskiy; R.A. Gizatulin; Yu. E. Romanenko; Denis V. Valuev; A.V. Valueva; A. Serikbol

This work reports the problem of processing residual wastes after producing carbon ferrochrome by recycling dust using a hydrometallurgical method with the purpose of extracting the basic component - chromium, The X-ray diffraction analysis results, chemical and granulometric compositions of dust from the carbon ferrochrome production are given, The method for the production of chemical-enrichment concentrate (CEC) by processing ferrous dust is described, with obtaining a middling product - sodium mono-chromate with its further reduction to chromium hydroxide, followed by autoclave leaching, and resulting in the production of chemically enriched chrome concentrate, The plant used for autoclave leaching and filtering is schematically depicted, The smelting process of metallic chromium using the ladle aluminothermic method is described,
