The LIDOS.RFQ.Designer code package gives users the possibility to proceed successfully from input data up to RFQ channel design and space-charge-dominated beam simulation. The codes main feature is that it displays the maximum scientific visualization for each calculation step. The package contains codes with three levels of mathematical model complexity. The first-level codes not only make a preliminary choice of the main parameter arrays on the basis of a simplified physical model but also choose the design optimization. The case of high-current CW RFQ radiation purity (minimum of lost particles) is considered as the main optimization criteria. The second-level codes are used for RF field calculations, taking into account the real shape of the RFQ vanes. The third-level codes are based on complex PIC-models that are needed for beam simulation in the chosen channel version.

A special class of the problems attracting attention of numerous researches is represented by the problems associated with the beam dynamics optimization in accelerators of charged particles. In this paper problem of beam dynamics optimization is considered as a control theory problem. Problem statement is considered on the pattern of linear accelerating on traveling wave.

The solutions of equations characterizing the dynamics of charged particles in electromagnetic Penning–Malmberg traps with a rotating transverse electric field are presented and analyzed. The equations of motion are transformed in a way that makes it possible to distinguish between the motions of magnetron and cyclotron particles, reduce the system of equations to a stationary one, and conclude that asymptotically Lyapunov stable solutions of these equations are lacking in a certain parameter interval. This allows one to optimize the confinement of charged particles in such traps.

Design problem of APF accelerator for ensure enough high quality of output beam is considered. As we know, this problem is not easy because we have to achieve stability of longitudinal and transversal motions simultaneously. One of the first significant results in this subject were obtained by V. V. Kushin [1]. In the work [2] the problems of optimizations of ion beam are considered. The optimization approaches for some beam characteristics improving (acceleration and transmission ratios) are considered. Obtained results are confirmed by particle in cell simulations.
