Possibilities of using reverse focusing system in klystron with variable electron beam energy

The results of the electron beam formation and transportation simulations in the multibeam klystron (MBK) with reverse focusing system operating with variable control electrode (grid) or anode voltages are presented in this paper. The possibility of using multibeam klystrons for supplying acceleration systems, running with various electron beam energy or power is shown.

In this paper was obtained the analytical relation, which determines the maximum possible amplitude of the output interaction impedance with output cavity of klystron associated with N passive cavities forming the filter system.

Formation of an electron beam in a matrix carbon field-emission cells

Results of research of an electron beam in field-emission Grigoryev-Shesterkina type cathode cells, intended for use are presented to the microwave oven devices. Possibility of development an electron optical system (EOS) with field-emission cathode matrixes for the O-type microwave devices with the beam emittance similar to an emittance in EOS with the thermo cathode is shown.

Controlling the bandpass characteristics of high-power broadband multiple-beam klystron with the use of active filtering systems

A possibility to increase the interaction impedance of the klystron filtering system presented. Shows that replacement of a central bushing of circular cross section to elliptic in coaxial resonators associated with a filtering system, significantly improve the amplitude impedance gap.

The reasons of limitations in field emitter implementation in powerful RF tubes are investigated, overcoming ways are discussed. The results of electron beam optic system (EOS) design with planar type matrices of field emission cathodes and intense beams with power above 100 kW in CW mode are presented.

Simulations of a Ka-band 7-beam coupled-cavity traveling-wave tube when the operating frequency is near one of the cutoff frequencies

The developments results of the 7-beam Ka-band TWT with high electronic efficiency (~20%), the gain coefficient (~50dB) and a broad band operating frequency (~2.5%) are presented.
