In this paper, several experiences on adaptive learning at higher education are shown. Different contexts and methodologies such as Problems and Projects Based Learning, final works of Grade and Massive Open Online Courses, present different needs personalized attention by teachers. They require different techniques and all of them are based on Moodle, a learning contents management system that facilitates adaptive learning. The results of the presented experiences show that adaptive techniques improve final grades, motivation in students and also help teachers to personalize learning in their daily educational tasks.

Online courses have been designed and experienced to support training in engineering mathematics through the generation of personalized itineraries. Adaptivity of these courses is based on prior knowledge of each student and his/her learning progress. We used the e-learning platform Moodle with Conditionals developed by the Innovation Centre for Information Society at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Here we present the design and results concerning the improvement in learning, users satisfaction and lessons learned.

The aim of the repository is to provide resources obtained from the analysis of good practices, to improve the processes of competency-based training in engineering degrees. To do this, we have analyzed over 800 cases and obtained methodologies, techniques, resources and tools applicable in the university training context. The project organizes, classifies and facilitates the searching of those good practices using the search engine 2.0.

This paper presents the procedure we have used to improve the teamwork learning activities in the first year of the bachelors degree. The focus was placed on the basic teamwork skills and attitudes that should be developed by students at the beginning of their university studies. We propose that the initial teamwork training is oriented towards solving two problems: the responsibility of teammates and the effective implementation of a work plan. We analyse the point of view of the student about factors and behaviours that teamwork competence definition suggests as more appropriate to address them. Moreover, we make a certain number of recommendations for the teamwork instructional design based on the findings of this study.
