A Serious Game for 3D cultural heritage

The research of this paper focuses on a context of cultural heritage through the use of Serious Games. It presents 3D serious game, dedicated to cultural heritage including a first prototype of a Tangible User Interface. This Serious Game focuses on the Gothic cathedral of Amiens in France, in the context of the e-cathedral research program that faces the preservation challenge.

Toward the Adaptive and Context-Aware Serious Game Design

The context of this research focus on the design approach of Serious Games dedicated to Cultural Heritage. This approach allowed creating and testing several Serious Games. Feedback obtained from the tests of SG, allowed us to refine the design of the games and to design a meta-scenario which can be adapted (depending on parameters), to the needs of the teacher and according to his pedagogical aims.

Authoring System to Design Pedagogical Devices: The SAPRISTI System

This paper presents an Authoring System for the design of pedagogical devices dedicated to the teachers. This system helps a teacher to create his pedagogical scenario. It generates also the teacher’s pedagogical device (based on Web 2.0 tools) and a dashboard, which allows controlling the students’ activities.

Toward Maximizing Access Knowledge in Learning: Adaptation of Interactions in a CoP Support System

MAETIC [1] is a teaching method based on the realization of projects by the students and aims to allow them develop in parallel with know-how related to the target profession, professional skills as planning, negotiation, teamwork, communication, etc. The experiments [2] have shown that when a teacher deploys this method in his classroom, he may encounter difficulties due to the lack of expertise and experience. Then he may need help. The experiments have also shown that such aid could be provided by more experienced teachers in the use of the method. The teachers who use the MAETIC method therefore constitute a Community of Practice (CoP) whose the main objectives are: 1) the resolution of difficulties related to the use of MAETIC and 2) the exchange of practices related to this method. To Support this CoP, we interest on the design and development of an adaptive and mobile computer system that called NICOLAT (French acronym: iNformatIque COmmunautaire mobiLe et AdapTatif). Especially, NICOLAT aims to help these teachers members of The MAETIC CoP to resolve the difficulties that encounter during the use of MAETIC in classroom.
