Behavior analysis/modification for everyone

This paper presents a very brief overview of peoples attempt to understand and change behavior and shows how behavior analysis is different from these views. The importance of everyone knowing and using behavioral principles in their everyday life is stressed and the opposition to a behavioral approach is discussed. The aims of the organization called Behavior Analysis/Modification in the Regular Classroom is presented and some steps that this organization is following in an attempt to help to disseminate the knowledge and use of behavioral principles in the schools is presented.

A Review of Evaluation of Behavior Modification Programs

Techniques used to evaluate behavior modification training are categorized, surveyed, and discussed. Trainees include teachers, parents, and aides. Most trainers attempt some form of evaluation at the conclusion of training-the minimum, a questionnaire. Sophistication of evaluation and criteria measured varies among programs but appears to be subject to methodological difficulties common in psychotherapeutic-outcome research. Trends indicate that video tape and other technological advances might be increasingly valuable tools in reducing such problems.

Field experiences in school psychology programs

Abstract A survey was conducted of field experiences in school psychology programs at the doctoral and non-doctoral levels. Three levels of school psychology programs (Masters, Advanced Graduate Status, and Doctoral) were compared in terms of the field-based component of training. The use of the terms practicum, internship and externship is described.
