Research on the influence of cargo securing force with typical road alignments and vehicle working conditions

In order to do further study on the influence of different road alignments and vehicle working conditions to cargo lashing force, firstly we built the model of typical combination vehicles, road alignments and vehicle working conditions with TruckSim, and the model of cargo lashing with ADAMS in this paper. Then we analyzed the acceleration changes of vehicle different axles (x, y, z) when vehicle running in the lemniscate road and rubber bump with normal speed. The acceleration of vehicle will be used as input value to ADAMS. After analyzing the stability of cargo, the results show that the lashing force calculated according to the ‘European best practice guidelines on cargo lashing for road transport’ can meet the security requirement of cargos road transport.

The evaluation and test methods for power performance and fuel economy for articulated vehicle trains

Articulated vehicle trains consists of a semitrailer tractor and a semitrailer. The power performance and the fuel economy are key indicators in practical cargo transportation, resulting from the matching performance in the transmission system, being relative and restricted to each other. The indicators on evaluation and test methods are put forward depending on the analyses on factors of power performance and fuel economy. The weights of factors are defined by analytic hierarchy process, and the model on power performance and fuel economy of articulated vehicle trains are established and verified by practicing on real road tests. The evaluation model is serving as an indicator on matching power performance and fuel economy of articulated vehicle trains and an important indicator in assembling articulated vehicle trains for road cargo transport enterprises.
