Research on the cooperation and competition strategies of port based on hinterland traffic condition

Nannan Hu; Jie Wang; Dong Mu

On the basis of analyzing customers choice behavior, this paper constructs a utility function of port and obtains an equilibrium pricing strategy before and after competition and cooperation by applying Nash equilibrium. In addition, it also analyzes the impact of hinterland traffic condition on the competition and cooperation between ports. The analyzed results demonstrate that with the improvement of hinterland traffic condition, part of ports use cooperation strategy, which can not only improve the overall profit and share of the cooperative ports, but also can enhance the interest and market share of non-competitive ports so that the improvement of overall interest and market share of regional port group can be realized.

Carbon emission research of Beijing transportation system based on SD

Hongqi Yu; Dong Mu

With the fierce increasing of population, prospect for air condition in Beijing is overwhelmingly negative. Transportation takes a great part in the total carbon emissions and the percentage keeps going up. In this paper, a Beijing transportation system model is built using System Dynamics and four sub-systems are considered which are cars, bus, taxies and subway transportation sub-systems. After that, simulation of the system in three different scenarios is made to compare the different effects. It turns out that the carbon emissions of car system is the major part of total transportation carbon emissions. Therefore, methods to reduce car carbon emissions should be developed to produce an effective progress of air condition like reducing the amount of cars or cutting down the energy consumption of cars.

Research on emission reduction in supply chain under the energy performance contracting mode

Xiaoxue Zeng; Dong Mu; Xibao Xu

The paper focuses on the joint emission reduction problem in low-carbon supply chain with Energy Service Companys involvement in the ‘cap-and-trade’ system. Two system dynamics model are included, cooperative R&D investment in emission reduction between the supplier and the manufacturer and Energy Service Companys R&D investment in emission reduction for the supply chain. We discuss the following key factors, Energy Service Companys sharing coefficient of the emission reduction benefits and carbon price. With the results of the models, comparative analysis of the cost, profits of the three companies and the emission reduction effects of the supply chain under different circumstances are presented, which can provide references for related decisions, to supply chain enterprises, Energy Service Company and the government.

Study on quantity flexibility supply chain contract based on system dynamics

Jingbo Wu; Dong Mu; Jing Xiang; Jian Zhang

Supply chain contract is becoming an academic and business circles hot topic. This paper built a two-echelon supply chain structure model with the quantity flexibility supply contract, and then simulated this model. The research indicated that the complex relation among factors of quantity flexibility supply contract could be better revealed with the use of system dynamics methodology. Finally, under the conditions in this paper, an optimal set of parameters that can coordinate the supply chain would be given to the retailer.

Research on the simulation model of the supply chain with the constraint of carbon emissions

Chunyue Wang; Keming Zhang; Dong Mu

In this paper, we study the coordination of the two-stage supply chain which composed of one manufacturer and one retailer. Based on the hypothesis that demand will increase with the increase of emission reduction rate, we develop a model in which the manufacturer takes charge of the reduction of carbon emissions, and the retailer drives revenue-sharing contract. Using vensim, the software of system dynamics, to simulate this model, we can see the relations among factors used in the supply chain model clearly. We make 4 plans to analysis the effect of the constraint of carbon emissions and revenue sharing coefficient on the profit of supply chain. Finally the optimal emission reduction rate of the manufacturer and the best revenue sharing coefficient of the retailer is concluded. This method proposed can provide references for coordinating supply chains.

Low-carbon logistics distribution route planning with improved particle swarm optimization algorithm

Keming Zhang; Bin Qiu; Dong Mu

By introducing a carbon emission calculation method, which considers the vehicle speed and load, a low-carbon logistics distribution route optimization model with the targets of minimizing the transport costs and carbon emissions is established. We propose a kind of improved particle swarm optimization algorithm to solve this model. Since the particle swarm optimization algorithm is easy to plunge into local optimum in its running late, the particle will conduct random mutation in the improved algorithm when it exceeds the maximum number of stagnations. The simulation results of the numerical example demonstrate that the new algorithm is effective and feasible.

Qianying Wang; Keming Zhang; Dong Mu

At present, Chinas express market demands and supply capacity of the express service providers is increasingly prominent. In the view of the problems such as scattered, small, bad in the express industry in China, the collaborative mode of service network based on horizontal resource integration is proposed. Through the cooperative operation of the express enterprise service network, it is not only beneficial to optimize the operation efficiency of the stock resources, but also help to cultivate the large-scale express enterprise which has the international competitiveness. This paper analyzes the distribution of the business volume of the express enterprise in the service networks cooperative operation, and achieves the benefit of the network cooperative pattern.

The research of the enterprise cooperation strategy under different carbon emissions' policies

Dandan Wang; Dong Mu; Qian Zhang

The problem of the global climate change significantly attracts the attention of the world, and all countries are trying their bests to reduce emissions of the carbon dioxide, which is imperative. In the process of low carbon supply chain, this article considers two kinds of carbon emission reduction policies: the carbon tax and the carbon trading, and builds game model of carbon emission reduction in both cases: the supply chain cooperation and non-cooperation. The research results show that no matter under the carbon tax policy or under the carbon trading policy, the optimal carbon emission reduction rate of the manufacturers and retailers in the supply chain cooperation situation is not necessarily higher than that in the supply chain non-cooperation situation, the results also show that whether the supply chain enterprise should choose to cooperate with each other or not depends on the carbon tax rate and the price of carbon trading set by the government. The conclusion above can provide a theoretical support for the government to set reasonable carbon tax rate and carbon trading price and can also provide reference for enterprises to choose the appropriate cooperation mode.

Study on ecological environment impact of urban agricultural products wholesale market distribution system

Jing Sun; Dong Mu; Yinglai Wang

The environment problem has aroused peoples concern in recent years since the heavy haze weather. Agricultural products logistics, acting as one of the necessary activities to keep peoples daily life and the main source of environmental pollution, receives widespread attention in the whole society. Basing on the field survey of agricultural products distribution system in Beijing, we clarify the distribution scheme to be three categories: direct distribution, transfer once distribution and transfer twice distribution in this study. This paper established the evaluation index system to examine the effect of agricultural products distribution system on the environment in Beijing according to the facts and related literature. Further, we use fuzzy integrated evaluation method to compare the actual situation of Xinfadi vegetable distribution in Beijing and the three scenario we simulated base on the key factors. We find that the effect of agricultural products distribution system on the environment can be reduced by increasing the proportion of direct distribution according to actual situation, developing common delivery and selecting reasonable distribution vehicle, promoting the use of professional delivery vehicles, setting up reasonable transit link to optimize the system, and clamping down on excess wholesale market.

Research on emission reduction decisions in multi-echelon supply chain with low-carbon policy considered

Yeliang Sun; Dong Mu; Qian Zhang

Along with the trend of low-carbon development, the government adopts a series of measures to control carbon emissions. Here, in the case with constraint of carbon cap and both firms and consumers have low carbon preference, we study the firm production decision problems in a supply chain consists of three firms The latest-firm-dominant situation is discussed by using Stackelberg game and we obtain the optimal output and emission reductions by the converse solution method. It shows that the optimal reduction decision of a firm is to make its marginal emission reduction cost slightly larger than purchase the corresponding emission rights from the carbon transaction market. The emission reduction of one side in a supply chain will motivate the others in the supply chain. With the enhancement of consumer low-carbon preference, the sales price will rise and lead to profits rise of the whole supply chain, but not all firms are profits benefit. Based on the above analysis, we extend the model to n firms aims to make some guideline sense for supply chain firms launching cooperation in areas of emission reduction.
