ESTs analysis in maize developing kernels exposed to single and combined water and heat stresses

Violeta Andjelkovic; Dragana Ignjatovic-Micic

A recently discovered albino seedling mutant in maize

Jelena Vancetovic; Sofija Bozinovic; Dragana Ignjatovic-Micic; Ksenija Markovic; Violeta Andjelkovic

A lethal albino seedling mutant of maize that is resistant to imazethapyr was n found in the material from the Maize Research Institute, Zemun Polje, gene n bank, The mutation was characterized by a normal development of the first two n leaves, with white coloration appearing from the third to the fifth leaves, n at the base of the leaves spreading towards their end, resulting in the death n of the whole plant. While the upper leaves were dying, the first two were n still green for eight to ten days. It seemed that the mutation was n conditioned by one recessive allele.
