Tetrahedron Letters | 1983

A new synthesis of racemic coronamic acid and other cyclopropyl amino acids

M. Suzuki; E. Eugene Gooch; Charles H. Stammer

Abstract A new method, in which various diazocompounds are added to a dehydro alanine derivative, allows the synthesis of coronamic acid and several other cyclopropyl amino acids.

Journal of The Chemical Society, Chemical Communications | 1981

New method for radioiodinating organic compounds via organoborane reactions

George W. Kabalka; E. Eugene Gooch

The use of organoboranes in the syntheses of radioiodine labelled materials offers a convenient and mild alternative to traditional methods; iodine-125 labelled materials have been synthesized in good radio-chemical yields, and the methoid is suitable for no-carrier-added isotope incorporation.

Journal of The Chemical Society, Chemical Communications | 1979

New method for isotopic labelling of organic compounds involving organoboranes

George W. Kabalka; E. Eugene Gooch; Clair J. Collins; Vernon F. Raaen

The use of organoboranes in the syntheses of labelled materials offers a convenient and mild alternative to traditional methods; a variety of 14C-labelled materials have been synthesized in good radiochemical yields utilizing organoboranes.

Journal of Chemical Education | 2005

Organic Chemistry at a Glance

E. Eugene Gooch

Organic Chemistry at a Glance is designed for people who have only enough time to glance at a book—literally. The authors’ goal was to create an effective memory aid for those who wish to review organic chemistry.

Journal of Chemical Education | 2003

Orgo Cards: Organic Chemistry Review (Wang, Steven Q.; Razani, Babak; Lee, Edward J. K.; Wu, Jennifer; Berkowitz, William)

E. Eugene Gooch

The major strength of this product lies in its coverage of reaction mechanisms. Mechanisms are written out using curved arrow notation, steps are numbered, and a sentence describes the details of each step.

Journal of Chemical Education | 1990

Synthesis of iodohexane via hydroboration-iodination: A microscale organic laboratory experiment involving air-sensitive compounds

E. Eugene Gooch

Use of ICl and organoborane intermediates to prepare iodohexane that parallels similar methods that introduce iodine radionuclides into fatty acids for use as heart imaging agents via positron emission tomography.

Journal of Organic Chemistry | 1980

A mild and convenient procedure for conversion of alkenes into alkyl iodides via reaction of iodine monochloride with organoboranes

George W. Kabalka; E. Eugene Gooch

Journal of Organic Chemistry | 1981

Syntheses of organic iodides via reaction of organoboranes with sodium iodide

George W. Kabalka; E. Eugene Gooch

The Journal of Nuclear Medicine | 1981

Rapid and mild syntheses of radioiodine-labeled radiopharmaceuticals

George W. Kabalka; E. Eugene Gooch; Kunda A. R. Sastry

Journal of Chemical Education | 2001
