Hydrodynamics and Heat Transfer in the Coolant Flows in the Elements of the Technical Designs of Industrial Systems

Alexander V. Krainov; E.N. Pashkov; Roman E. Lushnikov; V. A. Arkhipov

Numerical simulation of the motion of a viscous incompressible nonisothermal liquid in an open rectangular cavity with a glance of heterogeneity phase characteristics is performed. The hydrodynamic pattern of moving liquid has been obtained. Temperature profiles for solid and liquid phases have been received. The model parameters influence on the motion of the heat carrier and the distribution of temperatures in two phases have been studied.

An investigation into autobalancing devices with multireservoir system

E.N. Pashkov; Nikita V. Martyushev; Andrey V. Ponomarev

Behaviour of a liquid-type automatic balancing device is modeled in this paper. To perform mathematical research the authors use a rotor model which contains a ring functioning as a reservoir coupled to a rigid shaft being rotatable in bearings. An autobalancer with several reservoirs is used for the mathematical investigation. The article provides the layout of forces acting in a multi-reservoir balancing system. Data on the effect of various factors on balancing accuracy as well as the main calculation features of a multi-reservoir autobalancer are presented. The obtained modeling results indicate that autobalancing efficiency is enhanced by increasing the number of reservoirs. An increase in the number of reservoirs causes a decrease in a critical rotor speed.

Investigation of Input Signal Curve Effect on Formed Pulse of Hydraulic-Powered Pulse Machine

M.V. Novoseltseva; I.A. Masson; E.N. Pashkov

Well drilling machines should have as high efficiency factor as it is possible. This work proposes factors that are affected by change of input signal pulse curve. A series of runs are conducted on mathematical model of hydraulic-powered pulse machine. From this experiment, interrelations between input pulse curve and construction parameters are found. Results of conducted experiment are obtained with the help of the mathematical model, which is created in Simulink Matlab. Keywords – mathematical modelling; impact machine; output signal amplitude; input signal curve.

Prospects for Further Rock Cutting Mechanisms Development

M.B. Novoseltseva; E.N. Pashkov

In this research power rock cutting mechanisms are considered. Impact and vibratory impact mechanisms are presented, their design characteristics are given. The new peenless power pulse hydraulic mechanism is considered, its operating principle is described, and the schematic diagram is provided. The new system can be used at building of the new rock-drilling machines with a hydraulic actuator for the intensification of the process of rocks destruction.

Mathematical Simulation of Hydraulic Power Pulse Machine at Matlab

M.V. Novoseltseva; E.N. Pashkov; I.A. Masson

General idea of mathematical simulation is set. Equations that describe hydraulic power pulse machine operation are described. Restriction factors are identified; they are included in mathematical model simulation. Mathematical simulation results are shown for essential parts of machine. Results of hydraulic power pulse machine mathematical simulation are presented.

The Numerical Study of a Dropwise Condensation Mode when Cooling Heat Transfer Surfaces

Alexander V. Krainov; E.N. Pashkov; Roman E. Lushnikov; V. A. Arkhipov

A two-dimensional nonstationary model of calculation of heat transfer at viscous fluid droplet spreading over the heated substrate is presented. A process of the fixed droplet spreading over a simple geometry substrate has been calculated. A hydrodynamic picture of the process of spreading has been obtained. The influence of the parameters of the model on the nature of spreading has been studied. The temperature profiles at the droplet surface have been obtained. The setting time of the stationary mode has been evaluated.
