This study has evaluated the amount of the drug fluoxetine distributed to patients from the Municipal Pharmacy in Lavras, in order to verify the amount prescribed in the period of 12 months. It was performed analyzes of the prescriptions withheld in the Municipal Pharmacy from January 2009 to December 2009. The prescriptions were filed every day and the work was restricted to separate them chronologically to perform data analysis. It was prescribed 94251 tablets in the period of one year. There were great variations in the monthly quantities of the drug distributed between the 12-month period. According to the data collected, it was noted increasing consumption of the antidepressant fluoxetine, due to the large number of drug distributed by the Municipal Pharmacy in Lavras. During the period of data collection, it was observed that the demand for the drug is higher for females, aged 25 to 40 years, and this fact was justified because women suffer more variation in mood persistently downgraded, associated with sadness, distress or the feeling of emptiness and reduced ability to experience pleasure or feel satisfaction when compared with men.

AVALIAÇÃO DOS NÍVEIS DE NITRATO E NITRITO EM SALSICHAS COMERCIALIZADAS NA CIDADE DE LAVRAS - MG Doi: http://dx.doi.org/10.5892/ruvrd.v11i2.209217

Nitrite has a harmful impact on human health due to its reaction with secondary amines, which are naturally present in foods, forming N-nitrosamines, compounds with carcinogenic potential. Thus, it is essential the determination of nitrate and nitrite in food samples, such as built-in meat products which are widely consumed by the general population, especially by children. The objective this work was to verify the presence of these substances in sausages sold in Lavras-MG by the method described by AOAC (Official Methods of Analysis of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists). Were collected three types of sausage samples (A, B and C). The samples were analyzed in a spectrophotometer (λ 474 nm). For the calculation of the nitrate and nitrite levels it was used the equation (Y = 0.1734 + 0.0097 X) with a coefficient of determination (R2) 0.9999. It was found values between 1.6725 to 2.6011 mg / kg and 1.5876 to 3.1332 mg/kg of nitrate and nitrite respectively at sample A; 0.0922 to 0.2044 mg/kg and 0.6845 to 1, 5761 mg/kg in sample B and 0.0638 to 3.2842 mg/kg and 1.1839 to 1.6683 mg / kg in the sample C. This study suggest that the samples are consistent with legal requirements when compared with the maximum residue limit allowed for sausage from 0 to 3.7 mg/kg of nitrate, but for nitrite values it was realized that data obtained exceeded the limit allowed by law, which is 0 0.07 mg/kg nitrite.

Este trabalho avaliou a quantidade do medicamento metilfenidato dispensado na Farmacia Municipal de Lavras, visto o aumento da prescricao deste medicamento no pais, bem como verificou os dados das prescricoes a fim de caracterizar o paciente. Foi realizada uma analise criteriosa das receitas retidas na Farmacia Municipal no periodo de marco de 2010 a fevereiro de 2011. Foram observadas as variaveis do receituario como quantidade dispensada ao mes, sexo, dosagem e doses prescritas. Ainda, foi verificado o preenchimento das receitas e armazenamento das mesmas. As quantidades dispensadas a cada mes variou muito, podendo ser justificada pela falta do medicamento na farmacia. Na variavel genero foi notada uma quantidade bem maior de dispensacoes para o masculino que para o feminino. Em relacao as doses diarias foram encontradas prescricoes de um e duas, e poucas indicando tres doses diarias. Por fim analisou- se as dosagens prescritas, que teve como maioria a de 10 mg, nao deixando de aparecer dosagens de 18mg e 20mg. De acordo com os dados coletados conclui-se que o aumento do consumo de metilfenidato no Brasil nao refletiu de forma significativa no aumento da dispensacao do mesmo na Farmacia Municipal de Lavras.
