This article proposes a framework to create effective transitional leadership in the defence and aerospace industry. The proposed framework identifies and maps traits and skills of military personnel in a manner that can be tested and validated in accordance with principles of human resource management. Applying this framework would assist hiring managers in their selection of program or project managers from the military in transition to a defence contractor support organisation. Employing a research approach embracing a mix of both qualitative and quantitative strategies, the study examined more than 50 respondents to a 34-question survey, focusing on 14 respondents who submitted fully completed surveys. The conceptual framework for this study is derived from investigations conducted by project management practitioners and scholars who have built upon the research of previous research, which studied project development models within various industries.

There have been several incidents in the United States that point to significant problems with religious intolerance. Public debates and confrontations can have rippling effects beyond the political and public discourse when one considers that these abrasive viewpoints and discussions can represent employee beliefs that can bleed into coworker encounters in the workplace and cause conflict, marginalization, and discrimination as it relates to religion. This paper provides an exploration of the critical need for the development of leaders with knowledge and understanding of the importance of religious literacy and interfaith dialog in the workplace.

Knowledge management is the practice of capturing critical information and making the right information available to the right people at the right time. Such practices are critical for US government agencies that must make ethical and safety-oriented decisions in regulating commercial operations and waste disposal in the nuclear power industry. The development of knowledge management and knowledge transfer practices related to ethical decision making is critical in preventing the loss of skills, experience, routines and capabilities when employees with expertise on the ethical issues of nuclear power regulation leave their respective organisations. This article uses applied research to explore the required measures for developing knowledge transfer-oriented ethical cultures in government organisations. The goal of this research is to develop solutions that can influence the international world of practice in the areas of knowledge transfer and ethical leadership development.
