Cyber threats and the field of computer cyber defense are gaining more and more an increased importance in our lives. Starting from our regular personal computers and ending with thin clients such as netbooks or smartphones we find ourselves bombarded with constant malware attacks. In this paper we will present a new and novel way in which we can detect these kind of attacks by using elements of modern game theory. We will present the effects and benefits of game theory and we will talk about a defense exercise model that can be used to train cyber response specialists.

This paper is intended to set up a strategy for design of elliptic curve (EC) operations in order to design an EC crypto-processor to be used in cryptographic applications using new modern technologies (e.g. FPGA) that provide integrated chip emulation. Also, we present the strategy for evaluating and certification of the developed product.

In this paper we describe a contrario detection method used in image processing in order to identify new objects which apper in digital images. The principle of a contrario detection is to first define an a priori model for the generic case when there is nothing to detect. Detection will only take place when the number of occurrences of such an event in the a priori model is low.

In this paper we address three open questions regarding randomness test: the probability of false acceptance, the number of minimum sample size to achieve a given probability error and tests independence. We shall point out statistical testing assumptions, source of errors, sample constructions and a computational method for determining the probability of false acceptance and estimating the correlation between the statistical tests specified by NIST SP 800-22.
