This paper describes the use of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) over Prime Field (F p ) for encryption and digital signature of smart cards. The concepts of ECC over prime field (F p ) are described, followed by the experimental design of the smart card simulation. Finally, the results are compared against RSA algorithms.

At this moment, main problems of global smart card are created with Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA) public key algorithm because long key length and slow decryption time. Alternative public key encryption can solve these two problems such as Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC). Mathematic background of ECC is based on coordinate systems that two main arithmetic operations are explained and RSA encryption and ECC encryption key lengths have compared with diagram. Essentially, this paper is mentioned ECC over binary field F2m for global smart card systems with four applications. Main contribution of this paper is to propose ECC public key encryption in global smart card which is explained four applications of global smart card.

This paper describes personal requirements of global information systems such as passport, health care, financial, and driving license applications. Analysis of these requirements identified common and application-specific attributes. Based on these requirements, a proposed structure for a global multipurpose smart card is discussed.

Defects uncovered during software testing usually consume a considerable amount of the overall projects budget. Unfortunately, project managers are not well-equipped with techniques to estimate such cost overrun. Moreover, incorporating defects removal process as part of the software testing activities has made the project managers overlook this important cost component during their planning processes. This paper suggested a fuzzy model to estimate the cost of defects removal at the early stages of project planning in terms of the projects functional size and the experience of the development team. The suggested model is supposed to enhance the accuracy of the software project cost estimation.

There are many data and computation intensive applications that generally require very high performance and a lot of computing resources which lead to the increase in the overall execution time. Parallel computing can improve overall execution time which involves breaking up large program into smaller pieces that can be executing in multi processors system. While, distributed computing offers some advantages for parallel computing, where multiple connected processors can run in parallel by contributing their computing time and memory storage. However, due to the nature of heterogeneity of processing power in distributed computing, the effect of imbalance of workload distribution between processors is an important factor to be taken into consideration. In this paper, we conducted simulations of Pi value computation for tree-based distributed system under several of types of workloads distributions. We measured the overall execution time to study and analyze the effect of different workloads distribution. From our simulation results, we found that the increment of waiting time for a processor to receive back a result significantly impact the overall execution time as well as the scalability of the distributed system.
