Display Omitted A new fast Associative classification mining approach is developed. The applicability of well-known associative classification techniques on detecting phishing websites is investigated.Experimental results using different associative classification algorithms was performed. Associative classification (AC) is a new, effective supervised learning approach that aims to predict unseen instances. AC effectively integrates association rule mining and classification, and produces more accurate results than other traditional data mining classification algorithms. In this paper, we propose a new AC algorithm called the Fast Associative Classification Algorithm (FACA). We investigate our proposed algorithm against four well-known AC algorithms (CBA, CMAR, MCAR, and ECAR) on real-world phishing datasets. The bases of the investigation in our experiments are classification accuracy and the F1 evaluation measures. The results indicate that FACA is very successful with regard to the F1 evaluation measure compared with the other four well-known algorithms (CBA, CMAR, MCAR, and ECAR). The FACA also outperformed the other four AC algorithms with regard to the accuracy evaluation measure.

Purpose – Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems can be considered as cornerstone that allows most organizations to achieve their business goals. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of ERP system usage on agility in organizations. Design/methodology/approach – The data were collected from 90 branches of well-known banks in the Middle East, such as HSBC, Standard Chartered and Arab Bank. Data were analyzed using a path analysis methodology. Findings – A new model has been developed. An empirical investigation was performed on the banking sector in the Middle East to test the new model. Despite the results showing that the impact of ERP system usage on banks’ agility is significant, the variance of banks’ agility that is explained by the use of ERP systems is weak. This indicates that ERP usage may not influence sufficiently the current agility drivers in Middle-Eastern banks and that there may be other significant variables that contribute to agility in the banking sector. This paper presents a new method for deriving system models based on business process models. The congruence between the central notion of ‘automated activity’ in improved RAD model and that of ‘process’ in DFD facilitates the linking process. This method led to develop system model on early stage and without going through expensive system analysis and design process. The process of cancer registration in Jordan is used to demonstrate the proposed approach and showing its ease and timeliness. Finally, further work is planned to validate and evaluate the proposed method using several cases with different domains.
