Contactless electrical energy transmission becomes more and more attractive for different applications. In this system, the design of the separable transformer is very important. The paper uses the mutual inductance model to analyze the coupling ability of the primary coil and the secondary coil. The investigations are carried out by means of ANSYS simulation and measurements. Through analysis, four factors affecting the output power of the system are presented. So this paper proposes a new method of high coupling coefficient to circle the coil. And simulations on the transformer model based on the new method have been performed. The results indicate the output power of the system is increased by 5% and achieved 87.2%

This paper attempts to present the structures and characteristics of multipolar permanent magnet synchronous submersible motor (MPMSSM) for screw pump. The structures of stator lamination, rotor lamination and stator winding are analyzed. And how temperature influences the performance of the motor is presented. Moreover, how to calculate air-gap length and the size of permanent magnet of MPMSSM are discussed. The MATLAB is used to design the prototype. And, the computer simulation results of magnetic field of the motor are shown by ANSOFT according to its model. The structure and design method of this motor can be used on common MPMSSM.

This paper introduces the design fundamental of a new type controllable reactor called the magnetically controlled reactor. An essential part of the design of a reactor, the determination of the steel cross section of the core, the conductor cross-section area and windings turns, is described. Based on the method, a prototype of a single phase 6.6 kVA reactor was designed.

According to the technical requirement of 11 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) which is used for elevator, this paper presents a position sensorless vector-control system based on model reference adaptive system (MRAS). The inverter-motor drive models are substituted for the decelerator-motor drive models in this drive system based on the digital signal processor (DSP) and using the TMS320LF2407 DSP controller. It fully utilizes the wealthy peripherals and high-speed calculation function of DSP, and uses the vector control method and MRAS strategy. The simulation and experimental results show that the whole control system is simple, feasible and effective

This paper attempts to present a unified treatment of the single-phase permanent magnet motor that permit the calculation of transient and average asynchronous performance using a combination of symmetrical components and d-q axes theory. The torque simulation results of single-phase capacitor-run PM line-start motor are given by using MATLAB according to its mathematical model. Through simulation, rotor resistance and permanent-magnet how to affect starting performance are presented.

The paper studies the optimized design problems of permanent magnetic synchronous machine (PMSM) for low-speed and high-torque (LSHT) drive systems, and indicates that the key points of eliminating PMSM torque ripples at low frequency make the inner potential waveform sinusoidal. Through theoretic analysis and optimized design of main factors about influencing on PMSM potential sine waveform by means of uniting traditional design methods and modern intelligent optimization (genetic algorithm), a real PMSM is designed and the experimental results are given in the paper.

This paper shows that the optimized motors for a low-speed high-torque drive system with SPWM inverter power supply are the permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMS motors), the key points of the PMS motor design is to make the interior potential in the armature windings become a sinusoidal waveform. The paper poses an argument of the design principles of the PMS motors and reports the experiment results.

This paper describes the principles and methods of detecting localized flaws in wire ropes by measuring leakage flux. Wavelet transformation and neural network are used to analyze and process the signals from the broken wires in a steel rope in order to improve the accuracy and sensitivity of control device. In the meantime, it introduces detailedly the method of using wavelet transformation to gain signal eigenvalue and using neural network to establish the model of discerning quantificationally broken wires

A 1.2 kVA, 14 V contactless automobile power generation system has been built and tested successfully in laboratory. The system includes a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG), a rectifier and a switching power supply (SPS) regulator. Aimed at automobile generator operating mode whose speed and load are variable, a reasonable rated operated point is adopted. Finite element method (FEM) is used for the PMSG magnetic field analysis. Rotor magnet pole protection is discussed, surface insert structure is adopted; once confecting chill-pressing technology for the rotor core makes rotor compact and nice. According to the condition of systems stability, reliability, volume, cost and so on, a reasonable regulator topology is selected. Analyzing the objective factor that the regulator input voltage is variable whose characteristic is low voltage and high current, and gives the solutions. A feedback circuit that can make the output voltage stable and has quick response is designed. Test results indicate that the characteristic parameters of contactless automobile power generation system such as the efficiency, output voltage adjustment, and power density all excelled Lundell machine.

This paper describes a novel contactless auto-generator. The rotor magnet poles of the contactless auto-generator adopt Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet to replace traditional electrical excitation winding and claw-pole. Without electrical brush and slip ring, the structure of contactless auto-generator can be much simpler, the life span can be improved, and the average efficiency can be increased by 20%. The test results of the prototype indicate that this method is completely feasible
