Abstract The innovative behavior of individuals in the workplace is the foundation of any high-performance organization, and thus a study on the factors that motivate or enable individuals’ innovative behavior is critical (Scott, & Bruce, 1994). Therefore, the aim of this research was to find the relationship between organizational culture and innovative work behavior (IWB) in tourism enterprises that market sports services. Considering the fact that IWB is crucial for tourism enterprises, exploring the factors that influence IWB could be beneficial. Correlation analysis revealed that IWB was found to be significantly correlating with cooperativeness (r=0.442, p<0.05), innovativeness (r=0.510, p<0.05), consistency (r=0.522, p<0.05), and effectiveness (r=0.554, p<0.05). Additionally, stepwise regression analysis, which was conducted to discover whether organizational culture predicts IWB, showed a significant model: F(2-131)=33.775, p<0.05. The model explained 33% of the variance in IWB (Adjusted R2=0.33). In general, our findings suggest that there is a relationship between organizational culture and IWB and that organizational culture significantly predicts IWB. As IWB is crucial for the enhanced performance and success of any organization, organizational culture should be organized in order to encourage employees in terms of IWB.

Shyness scale was applied to 440 students in elementary school. 45 students who were decided to experience shyness problem were included in the study. Three educational game groups which are control, individual and team were formed with randomization method. 24 different individual and group education game programs were applied to the children for 12 weeks and twice a week. Obtained data was evaluated with techniques of repetitive measurements MANOVA and Comparison (Bonferonni Correction) test. It was found that educational games are effective to deal with childhood shyness. Team educational games were found to be more effective than individual educational games. This result puts forth that group activities are more effective in dealing with childhood shyness.

The study explains the process of the development of the scale evaluating the attitudes of the class teachers to the course of the game and physical activities. It has been determined that the calculated reliability coefficients take place within the acceptable limits. It has been determined that the scale has internal consistency in the sub-factors with the total score and also, it has test-retest reliability. As a result, it has been determined by the researcher that the scale called as “Scale of Attitude to the Course of Game and Physical Activities for the Class Teachers” (CT-GaPA) is a valid and reliable tool to be used in the field of education.

Turhan Toros; Fikret Soyer

Abstract This study aims to research whether parental attitudes of basketball coaches effect their leadership perceptions and life satisfaction. 244 male basketball coaches (X age 35.26 ± 8.16) participated in the research voluntarily. To the participants were applied the Parental Attitudes Inventory Life Scale. Pearson correlation, multiple regression analysis and one-way ANOVA analysis were used in analyzing the data. A positive relationship was determined between parental attitudes and life satisfaction scores; while a significant negative relationship was found between authoritarian and protective parental attitudes and life satisfaction. In this line, suitability of modeling the relationships by regression analysis was tested. On one hand it was determined as the result of hierarchical regression analysis, on the other hand, the perceived leadership behavior was the positive predictor of life satisfaction. Considering whether life satisfaction scores of basketball players varied based on the perceived leadership behavior, it was set forth that life satisfaction scores are high at a significant level.
