Development and nutrition of black wattle seedlings (Acacia mearnsii de Wild. De Wild.) in poultry litter substrate

We evaluated the development and the nutritional status of Acacia mearnsii De Wild. seedlings produced in four organic substrates with poultry litter base, distributed in percentage terms: T1: 25CA:50S:25A; T2: 50CA25S25A; T3: 25CA75S and T4: 100SC (CA: poultry litter; S: soil; A: sand; SC: commercial substrate), in tubes of 125 cm 3 conducted in greenhouse / shade area. The best results, to the morphological variables height, stem diameter, number of leaves, dry mass of roots and total, were obtained in commercial substrate and in between 25 to 50% of poultry litter with clay soil and sand. The N and Mg contents (shoot and roots) and P and K (shoot) were not influenced by substrates. In the roots, the P content was greater on treatment with biggest proportion of clay soil. The K, in the roots, had the highest levels in substrates composed of 25 to 50% of poultry litter and commercial substrate. For Ca, the contents in shoots were higher than roots, mainly in the substrates with up to 50% of poultry litter. In the roots, the proportion of poultry litter did not influence Ca. The tested substrates, generally, did not influence the nutritional status of the seedlings.

Danos causados por gado leiteiro no componente arbóreo de sistema silvipastoril

The study aimed to quantify the damage caused by dairy cattle on the growth and recovery capacity of hybrid Eucalyptus grandis x E. camaldulensis (grancam) trees in a experimental silvopastoral system implanted in October/2012, after release of animals in the area in winter/2014. The experimental design consisted of a two-factor scheme, considering the distance between the animals entering the area and the double planting lines (factor 1) and the two evaluation occasions (February / 2015 and July / 2016) (factor 2). The damage levels (low / medium / high) were classified and their interference on growth in diameter at breast height (DBH) and total height (Ht), as well as the recovery capacity of the trees were evaluated. There was no significant interaction between factor 1 and 2 for DBH. The trees of the lines closest to the place of entry of the animals in the area showed a lower DBH (19.7 and 20.6 cm) in relation to the furthest lines (26.1 and 23.9 cm). The interaction was significant for Ht, but not significant difference between the lines. At the two evaluations, there was a general average increase of 2.59 cm year -1 in DBH and, in Ht, of 5.9 and 6.0 m in year -1 in lines 2 and 4, 4.6 and 4.4 m year -1 in lines 1 and 3, respectively. In 2015, most of the trees presented high-level of damage (65%), falling to 6.7% in 2016, showing the recuperation capacity of grancam. There was a significant inverse correlation between DBH and Ht with high level of damage (r = -0.25 and -0.24, respectively), showing that small trees are more susceptible to damage by cattle.

Desenvolvimento de Cordia trichotoma em função da adubação, em sistema silvipastoril no Sudoeste do Paraná-Brasil

O estudo teve o objetivo principal de analisar o desenvolvimento inicial do louro-pardo ( Cordia trichotoma (Vell.) Arrab. ex Steud.), implantado sob diferentes niveis de adubacao, em sistema silvipastoril. Para tanto, realizou-se o consorcio de louro-pardo com capim Panicum maximum cv. aruana na Universidade Tecnologica Federal do Parana – Câmpus Dois Vizinhos. Foram alocadas 4 linhas duplas em intervalo de 10 m com espacamento de 2 m x 1,5 m nessas linhas. O solo foi preparado com escarificador ate uma profundidade de 30 cm. No plantio, juntamente com as mudas foram adicionados 250 mL/planta de uma solucao de hidrogel. Com o proposito de avaliar a importância da adubacao com NPK no sistema implantado, esta foi testada em quatro niveis diferentes (tratamentos): T1 (sem adubacao), T2 (o recomendado), T3 (2 x recomendado) e T4 (3 x recomendado). Para avaliacao do estudo, mediram-se a altura das plantas, diâmetros do colo e dois diâmetros de copa equidistantes, como tambem se realizaram avaliacoes qualitativas de vigor, conforme parâmetros de sanidade, ocorrencia de pragas ou doencas, crescimento, aspecto visual geral das folhas e tronco, estresse nutricional e hidrico. Os dados obtidos foram analisados estatisticamente atraves do software Assistat v. 7.6 Beta. Os resultados apontaram um crescimento relativo (CR%) medio de 374,2% em diâmetro do colo, 278,3% em altura e 1351,1% em area de copa, nos 10 meses avaliados. O vigor das plantas nao foi influenciado pela adubacao, pois independente da dose, houve reducao significativa na qualidade das plantas em funcao de ocorrencia de uma bacteriose e a coincidencia com o periodo de inverno, por se tratar de uma planta caducifolia. Com base nos resultados de crescimento obtidos ate a idade avaliada, recomenda-se o uso de 192 g/planta de NPK, na formulacao testada, para o louro-pardo.

Percepção e interação de crianças no processo de revitalização da praça pública Ary Müller em Dois Vizinhos - PR

A sociedade moderna apresenta inumeros deficits quanto a preservacao de ambientes publicos, principalmente o meio ambiente, assim a educacao ambiental surge na nao so como forma recuperacao da natureza, mas tambem do sentimento de cidadania das criancas. Para que houvesse uma breve sensibilizacao ambiental, foi realizada uma oficina de desenhos na Praca Ary Muller em Dois Vizinhos – PR, com 34 criancas presentes no local, sendo solicitado que desenhassem o que mais gostavam na Praca. Os desenhos foram classificados segundo a metodologia de Sauve (2005), sendo encontrados nos desenhos, 4 das 7 categorias descritas pela mesma. A categoria meio ambiente lugar em que se vive foi a que teve maior numero de respostas, 53,0%, o que demonstra que a maioria das criancas encontra o meio ambiente no seu dia-dia. A admiracao do verde pode ser observada claramente nos desenhos, reforcando a importância de Pracas e areas verdes nos centros urbanos.

QUALIDADE QUÍMICA DO SOLO COM DIFERENTES NÍVEIS DE DEGRADAÇÃO EM ÁREA DE PRESERVAÇÃO PERMANENTE

CHEMICAL QUALITY OF SOIL WITH DIFFERENT LEVELS OF DEGRADATION IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL PERMANENT PRESERVATION AREAS The objective of this study was to investigate possible effects of soil contamination from pollution by urbanization and inordinate use of the course on the shores of the Sanga Lagoao of Ouro through soil chemical variables analyzed with multivariate statistical tools. We established five sampling points in the path of urban Sanga that have different uses and management. Alterations in the characteristics of soil in accordance with the management imposed. Similarity was observed the formation of three patterns chemical characteristics: soil fertility (1), acidity (2), and the amount of MO, N and K (3) in the soil. Four factors (represented by F1, F2, F3 and F4), explained 88.34% of the total variation of the data, and the factor F1 is the greatest explanation of the SZYMCZAK, v(10), no 10, p. 2158 – 2169, OUT-DEZ 2012.
