The task of ensuring the flow of energy between accessory devices and theinternal combustion engine is increasingly becoming a challenge for the development engineer in view of continually rising demands with regard to comfort and service life. Under these conditions, reliable statements on the dynamic behaviour of the complete system and optimisation potential are possible only with the use of computer-aided simulation. This article presents a calculation method that is able to represent strand vibrations on all belt strands.
