Les jardins familiaux : Miroirs des politiques de la cité

Résumé Certains jardins que l’on trouve aujourd’hui dans les villes sont appelés « familiaux ». Cette nomination actuelle révèle son utilisation contemporaine, mais à l’origine ils sont connotés comme appartenant à une catégorie particulière : celle des ouvriers. L’évolution des fonctions attribuées à ces espaces suit celle de la société et des contextes économiques, politiques et sociaux qui la caractérisent. La première révolution industrielle marque leur apparition et induit des aménagements spatiaux des cités. À l’origine « champs des pauvres », ils vont devenir, sous le gouvernement de Vichy, un outil véhicule des idées terriennes. Détruits au profit du développement urbain à partir des années 1960, ils sont devenus depuis les années 1990 un enjeu de la politique des villes, en tant qu’« espace vert ». Ces évolutions des fonctions et des utilisations ont un effet certain sur les populations locataires de ces « jardins des villes ».

Sociological survey amongst practitioners: A decisional tool for sports organizations? The case of the French Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines

Karate is practiced in France today in a great number of forms by about 230,000 practitioners affiliated with the French Federation of Karate and Associated Disciplines. There are multiple modalities according to which karatekas perceive their activity. A sociological survey commissioned by the French Federation and financed almost entirely by the Ministry of Health, Youth, Sports and Community Life was carried out between 2008 and 2010 in an attempt to highlight the typical profile of the practitioners. This article shows that the implementation of the sociological survey testifies to the Federation’s desire to take into account the expectations of its members, and thus, to assume a social role. However, in a context marked by the eagerness of the sports institutions to set their action within the high-level, performance model, this endeavor has met with serious difficulties, not least within the Federation itself, for which the survey seems to have served more as a pretext than a genuine piloting tool.

Our approach is about revealing and understanding the background and motivation of anchoring to a hunting practice and even more, about noticing factors that may enable or inhibit parties’ engagement. Our process assessment will be supported by observation of various experiences and situations: the individual dealing with his own inclination (called social logic in our matrix), his close hunting social space, the codes of the practice itself, and also the other social spaces (professional environment, other hobbies, further circles). This both theoretical and dynamic perspective of the agent allows us to approach experiences and their respective weight within the anchorage matrix. Social spaces function like markets which reinforce what is acceptable at a given time and discourage what is not or not anymore.

Stadtische Jugendpolitik in Bischwiller ; ; Die Verbesserung der •Jugendpolitik“ erscheint heute als ein bedeutendes politisches Anliegen fur die Stadtverwaltungen. Auf Anfrage der Stadtverwaltung von Bischwiller erstellt unsere Studie einen vollstandigen Uberblick des Angebots fur die Jugend im sozio-kulturellen, sozio-erzieherischen und sportlichen Bereich. Indem sie die positiven Punkte und die Mangel der Initiativen der Stadt und der Vereine (lokaler Erziehungsvertrag, Sport-Ticket...) hervorhebt, treibt sie dazu an, die Wirksamkeit jener Initiativen zu erfassen. Dieses Verfahren ist die Ausgangsbedingung einer mittelfristigen Verbesserung des Zusammenhangs der Tatigkeiten zugunsten der Jugendlichen der Gemeinde.
