Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the development of new DDHP air-conditioning equipment using Vuilleumier (VM) cycle. The VM cycle is known as a method of generating cryotemperature and has been developed mainly for small refrigerators. The VM cycle consists of two cycles surrounded by two isothermal change lines and two isochoric change lines, both areas being equal. The cycle surrounded by high temperature and medium temperature is the drive source for the surrounded refrigeration cycle by medium temperature and low temperature. The chapter also presents the development of a numerical analysis code by a computer to promote efficient testing and optimization in development. The code is a multi-division model adopting the equation of state for an ideal gas and energy equation of the regenerative material of the regenerator.
