Abstract High resolution neutron capture and transmission measurements were carried out at the 150 MeV Geel linac (GELINA) on the separated isotopes 50Cr, 52Cr and 53Cr. The data sets were atialysed by means of the TACASI, FANAC, FANAL and MULTI computer programs. The analysis of the capture data was completed up to 300, 500 and 200 keV resp. for the three isotopes 50,52,53Cr. The transmission data were analysed resp. up to 800, 500 and 200 keV. The resonance parameters obtained are compared with recent results of other laboratories1.5.

Capture cross section measurements with a nominal resolution of 0.075 ns/m have been carried out on an enriched 56Fe sample at the Geel electron linac. The data have been analysed up to 256 keV both with an area code and an R-matrix shape fitting code. Capture areas and resonance parameters have been deduced and compared to previous results.

At the Geel electron Linac, neutron capture cross section measurements have been performed on an enriched 54Fe oxide sample in the range from 0.3 to 500 keV. The nominal resolution was 0.086 ns/m. The analysis of the data has been completed up to 200 keV, both with an area code and a R-matrix shape fitting code. Resonance parameters and capture areas are given and the experimental evidence of valence neutron effects is discussed.

Neutron capture cross section measurements on enriched stable Pd isotopes have been performed at the 30 m station of Gelina in the energy range of 10 eV up to 600 keV. The neutron flux shape was determined with a 0.5 mm 6Li-glass scintillator and a 0.6 mm thick 10B4 C-slab. The time dependent background was evaluated by using the yields from a 0.5 mm 208Pb capture sample. The present data analysis covers the energy range between 10 keV and 300 keV.

High resolution neutron transmission and capture measurements have been performed at the 150 MeV Geel linac with a 4 ns pulse width. An enriched 57Fe-oxide sample has been employed at 50 m and 60 m, covering energy ranges up to 100 keV and 600 keV for transmission and capture measurements respectively. The resonance capture data have been normalized to the resonance parameters of the 1.6 keV transmission results. The data sets have been analysed by means of modified versions of FANAL, FANAC and TACASI computer programs and compared with existing data.

very high resolution neutron transmission measurements of enriched 58Ni and 60Ni samples were performed in the energy ranges 14eV up to 7.5MeV and 40eV up to 30MeV respectively. Time-of-flight and 1ns linac bursts were used to measure neutron energies. Total cross section data from 3 sample thicknesses have been analysed with an R-matrix multi-level code to deduce parameters of 72 resonances in 58Ni and 208 in 60Ni up to 305 and 550keV respectively, and the s-wave strength functions and average level spacings.
