Research on concept semantic similarity computation based on ontology

The current concept semantic similarity calculation based on ontology does not take full advantage of the concept semantic information. In this paper we will present a new concept semantic similarity algorithm deviding the concept similarity into two parts: one is concept name similarity calculation, concept name degree and concept name edit distance calculation. The other is concept property similarity calculation, concept object property and data property calculation. Thus we obtain the actual similarity of the ontology concept according to an integrated analysis. The experimental results indicate that, compared with other similarity algorithms, this method can make full use of concept semantic information, and can obtain a better match result.

A new approach for body pose recovery

Human body pose estimation is a very important procedure in human posture reconstruction. In order to obtain the initial motion parameter, various model-based methods must use an appropriate posture to track and match a fixed parameter, which is stored in the system. Learning-based methods that rely on a priori probabilities devote much time learning human poses in advance, thus delaying posture initialization. To solve this initialization problem, we propose a new approach in human body pose recovery using ordinary cameras and PCs. We apply a layer-thinning method to obtain the human skeleton points set from voxels, which are obtained in real time using the shape-from-silhouette algorithm based on a lookup table. In the process, the method analyzes the thinned point set, locates human articulation points, and determines the body orientation, using vector analysis according to anthropometric measurements. Through this method, the initial pose can have a variety of free gestures with low-intensity limits. Experiment results show that this approach recovers the initial skeleton pose in a valid and robust manner. In addition, several perturbations in the input data and the human pose recovered rapidly and automatically.Human body pose estimation is a very important procedure in human posture reconstruction. A method of Chinese common-sense ontology construction

The evolution of domain ontology and the extension of its boundarys make common-sense knowledge being a core support of the ontology research. To solve the problem of ontology construction in the multi-discipline field, we propose a method which takes common-sense knowledge in the dictionary as the source of ontology, and combines the method of ontology consruction based on the dictionary with the ontology expansion mechanism based on free text to construct Chinese common-sense ontology in this paper. And the experiment shows that the method can construct ontology semi-automatically.

Improvements of authentication tests on detecting type flaw attacks

Authentication tests are widely used in formal analysis, design and automatic verification of security protocols. However, they are not sufficient in proving symmetric key protocols, and fail to detect potential attacks on Neuman-Stubblebine protocol. By analyzing the failure reasons of authentication tests, some of their deficiencies have been pointed out. In order to break through these limitations of analytic capability of the original authentication tests, the improved authentication tests (I-ATs) have been proposed. In the I-ATs, the notion of message type is introduced for detecting the possibility of certain replay and interleaving attacks. The proofs of Neuman-Stubblebine protocol and Kao-Chow authentication protocol show that the I-ATs can easily find the type flaw attack on the initial authentication of Neuman-Stubblebine protocol, and give precise proof for Kao-Chow protocol.
