The Community College Presidency.

Bargaining with reading habit is no need. Reading is not kind of something sold that you can take or not. It is a thing that will change your life to life better. It is the thing that will give you many things around the world and this universe, in the real world and here after. As what will be given by this community college presidency, how can you bargain with the thing that has many benefits for you?

Black Community College Presidents.

Minority presidents are important to the current and future status of the community college in America. Moreover, the importance of minority presidents will increase as the numbers of minority students continue to increase. Minority presidents, perhaps even more than female presidents, must be sensitive to the need to serve as role models for future leaders of their respective racial or ethnic groups. They must also realize that the community colleges mission to serve all segments of society cannot be achieved without the leadership of minorities. While there are a number of racial and ethnic minorities leading the nations community colleges, the following discussion focuses on black presidents. In an attempt to understand the community college presidency more fully, especially in relationship to the issues and opportunities faced by black presidents, a survey instrument was solicited from the membership of the National Council of Black American Affairs. The instrument was sent to 48 presidents, and 26 presidents from 17 states returned the survey, for a response rate of 54 percent. Much of the following discussion is taken from the information obtained from the surveys.
