A Hoard of Trojan and Sumerian Jewelry

In 1966 the University Museum of the University of Pennsylvania purchased a hoard of jewelry1 which was said to have come, originally, from the Troad. Its relationship to hoards unearthed in Troy (probably IIg) and in the contemporaneous level at Poliochni on Lemnos makes this likely, but the importance of the hoard lies especially in the pieces which find their best parallels at Ur. At least one of the new pieces is of electrum;2 the other pieces are of the same color and I assume that they are made of the same metal.
