Abstract This article presents a description of a series of in-service training workshops for group leaders in a prison hospital setting. It describes a philosophy for training group leaders and presents the format and design of a four-day didactic/experiential training workshop. The authors briefly discuss some outcomes of these workshops, as well as the challenges of this type of work.
