Mario Martelli ([email protected]) did his grad? uate work at the University of Firenze, Italy, under Roberto Conti, receiving his degree in 1976. Since coming to the United States he has taught at Bryn Mawr College and at California State University, Fullerton. His research interests include differential equations, bifurcation theory, and dynam? ical systems. He enjoys finding new and interesting ways to look at classical results of calculus and discovering simple solutions to nontrivial elementary problems.
