The prevalent neurogenic urinary bladder syndrome is caused mostly by the hyperactivity of the bladder detrusor muscle. The pathophysiology is still not well established, and there are chirurgical and clinical treatment options available. For best results, combined treatments are needed. Researches on conservative interventions have been increasing on the last years, aiming to new strategies for symptoms handling. The transcutaneous electric stimulation of the tibial nerve is one of these new methods, showing promising results, with easy application, good adhesion, low costs and efficiency.

SUMMARY A literature review was carried out and the data related to the correlations between natural selection strategies of the species and the fundaments used by physiotherapy for the acquirement and evolution of biped march was presented. Human beings ran a long path in order to establish their anatomical and behavioral characteristics. Millions of years ago, human beings in order to survive to the most different and hard environments, the neural and musculoskeletal systems went through changes and the different challenges promot ed great motor improvement that is also shown within the sphere of cognition and communication, including, further, the affective and social relations. Such refined motor system is frequently affected by very limiting disorders. Amongst its specific attributions, physiotherapy can recover functional independence, in whole or in part, aggregating its work tools to environmental changes strategies and to the several tasks commonly present at our daily routine, when attempting to place control of body under the biped posture in open and closed kinetic chains, to walk and, at the same time, be capable of solving problems.
