The aim of this research is to explore factors influencing the management decisions to adopt human resource information system (HRIS) in the hospital industry of Bangladesh—an emerging developing country. To understand this issue, this paper integrates two prominent adoption theories—Human-Organization-Technology fit (HOT-fit) model and Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. Thirteen factors under four dimensions were investigated to explore their influence on HRIS adoption decisions in hospitals. Employing non-probability sampling method, a total of 550 copies of structured questionnaires were distributed among HR executives of 92 private hospitals in Bangladesh. Among the respondents, usable questionnaires were 383 that suggesting a valid response rate of 69.63%. We classify the sample into 3 core groups based on the HRIS initial implementation, namely adopters, prospectors, and laggards. The obtained results specify 5 most critical factors i.e. IT infrastructure, top management support, IT capabilities of staff, perceived cost, and competitive pressure. Moreover, the most significant dimension is technological dimension followed by organisational, human, and environmental among the proposed 4 dimensions. Lastly, the study found existence of significant differences in all factors across different adopting groups. The study results also expose constructive proposals to researchers, hospitals, and the government to enhance the likelihood of adopting HRIS. The present study has important implications in understanding HRIS implementation in developing countries.

Information Centric Networking (ICN) is envisioned to be the future Internet architecture and mobile access network e.g., Long Term Evolution (LTE), and 5G will be the major access networks. In this paper, we present a cache management and cooperative request forwarding schemes for Scalable Video Streaming (SVS) in Information Centric Networking (ICN) enabled mobile access networks. H.264/SVC encoded video is consisted a mandatory baselayer and multiple optional enhancement layers. Baselayer, which is enough to decode the video, though with the lowest quality, is needed by every user who want to watch the video while enhancement layers are used to improve the video quality. Only a subset of users download enhancement layers of the video. Therefore, caching the baselayer nearer to the users will increase their Quality of Experience. Furthermore, we introduce cooperative request forwarding for the baselayer of video to take more benefits from cache of neighboring base stations. We have intensively simulated our proposed schemes by extending chunk level simulator ccnsim which is developed over Omnet++. Our experimental results show that, cache hit rate can be improved significantly by adopting our proposed caching and Interest forwarding schemes.

Smart city is the vision of modern intelligent technology toward the sustainable development of green technology and social development. Smart services e.g. smart transportation, smart health, smart home, smart grid, smart security, and IoT based applications are the key enablers of smart city, that ensure the quality life and well-being. In a bid to ensure the functionalities of those services, the IoT applications gather data from numerous IoT nodes. In such a case, it becomes more 396 정보과학회논문지 제45권 제4호(2018. 4) challenging to managing huge network traffic in the centralized network of smart city. Therefore, in this research, we have focused on the resolution of this problem through the introduction of of smart agent-based dynamic data aggregation (DDA) from distributed dense smart city network for city service fulfillment. In this research study, we purposed to model a peer to peer fully distributed system using distributed hash table chord protocol. We also proposed an algorithm for the IoT network and designed smart agent based IoT node searching algorithm for crowd sourcing. Finally, we simulated the result of the proposed smart agent based dynamic data aggregation model in an effort to achieve a higher performance gain for the proposed approach in respect to service fulfillment time and convergence.
