In this paper, the transmission characteristics of laser refraction, reflection, scattering, attenuation, phase shift, depolarization, scintillation in the troposphere environment are comprehensively considered. Based on the principle of pulsed-phase laser ranging method, the direct and indirect reasons that affect satellite laser ranging(SLR) error are analyzed comprehensively, and the main reasons for the SLR error are analyzed. According to the wireless communication theory, the problems that must be solved to improve the precision of the star-to-earth laser ranging are obtained by quantitative analysis for the main reason. Then the necessary and sufficient conditions for compensating the SLR error are obtained. It provides a theoretical basis to further improve the accuracy of the fourth generation SLR.

In this paper, the effect of coherent acoustic wave excitation system on the echo signal detection of Synthetic Aperture Ladar (SAL) is studied. The local atmospheric refractive index fluctuation model of the disturbed troposphere is established by the coherent acoustic wave theory, and the detection process of target echo signal is simulated. The influence of the phase fluctuation of the disturbance echo signal on the intermediate frequency signal of the coherent acoustic wave excited system is studied. By employing the coherent acoustic wave excitation system interfering with the Michelson laser interferometer imaging, the effect of the coherent acoustic wave on the phase fluctuation of the echo signal is explained theoretically. The results of this study lay a theoretical foundation for using coherent acoustic excitation system against SAL imaging.

Utilizing the scales theory of electromagnetic theory, the anisotropic dielectric material is reconstructed into an isotropic medium. The analytic expressions of scattering field and the scattering breadth for an anisotropic material cylinder are first presented. Their validities are checked theoretically. The influences induced by the dielectric constant tensor etc. on the scattering breadth are simulated. The results show that the scatterings both in the forward direction and vertical direction to the incident direction are strong. The dielectric constant in the polarizing direction has a biggish effect on scattering field. The mechanism of results is presented.
