Examination of Views and Suggestions about Participation of Families of Children with Special Needs in Individualised Education Programme.

Individualised education programmes (IEP) will be practiced with children with special needs (CWSN) and their families. The main factor for IEP’s success is the participation of the family and also, thei r children. In this study, views and suggestions about participation of families of CWSN in their IEP processes are examined. The research is based on qualitative research. Five mothers and a grandmother with CWSN were participated; data are collected via semi -s tructured interview technique and analysed with inductive analysis technique. This research uncovers that the participants didn’t participate in their children’s diagnosis, assessment, settlement and follow-up processes, and they were not content with the assessment results . Also, the participants who didn’t participate in the IEP weren’t even aware of the legal obligation that they had to and their children’s IEP, they weren’t in cooperation with the teacher in that process, and teachers didn’t show the progress in the children to the families even i f they recorded that.

Özel gereksinimi olan bireylerin mesleki istihdamı Çorum ili örneği

Arastirmanin temel amaci, isverenlerin ozel gereksinimi olan bireylerin istihdamlarina iliskin gorus ve onerilerinin neler oldugunu belirlemektir. Arastirma Corum ilindeki ozel gereksinimi olan bireylerin calistigi isyerlerindeki 12 isverenle gerceklestirilmistir. Arastirmada isverenlerin gorusleri hazirlanmis olan gorusme formu ile yari yapilandirilmis gorusme teknigi kullanilarak toplanmis ve nitel veri analizi ile analiz edilmistir. Isverenler, ozel gereksinimi olan bireylerin istihdam edilebilmeleri icin sorumluluk alma, teknolojiyi kullanma, uyumlu olma, ekip ile calisma, iletisim kurma, akademik, guvenlik ve is becerilerine sahip olmalarinin onemli oldugunu belirtmektedirler. Bunun yani sira ozel gereksinimi olan bireylerin is ve isyeri deneyimlerinin arttirilmasinin ve ise gore hazirlanmalarinin gerekli oldugu isverenler tarafindan ifade edilmistir. Ayrica, ozel gereksinimi olan bireylerin okul doneminde egitimlerinin bir kismini isyerlerinde almalari, is tanimlarinin yapilip ozel gereksinimi olan bireylerin is tanimlarina gore egitilmeleri gerektigi ve okullarin toplumu, aileleri ve ozel gereksinimi olan bireyleri meslekler ve mesleki egitim konularinda bilgilendirmelerine agirlik vermelerini onermektedirler.
