Congenital Aneurysm of the Right Sinus of Valsalva, Diagnosed by Aortography

This paper contains a brief review of the cases, published earlier, of aneurysms of the sinuses of Valsalva, and a case is reported in which the diagnosis was made before rupture of the aneurysm by means of thoracic aortography. No reports are to be found in the literature of the diagnosis of unruptured aortic sinus aneurysms and of the associated clinical findings. Roentgenograms, aortograms and catheterization findings are included.

Diaphragmatic hernia into the pericardium.

An account is given of a 6 weeks old boy with a diaphragmatic hernia through the foramen of Morgagni, lying within the pericardial sac. An operation by the abdominal route was perfomed at the age of 7 weeks. After this an enormous pneumopericardium developed and the hernia recurred. A new operation by the thoraco‐abdominal route was performed at the age of 3 months with good result. A review of the previously reported 10 cases is given.

Radiological findings in congenital cystic pancreatic fibrosis.

The authors review the radiological findings in 18 oases of fibrocystic disease of the pancreas. In five cases of meconium ileus the radiological picture was very suggestive as to the diagnosis. Later in life, the combination of a diffuse net‐like pattern in the lungs and an irregular intestinal pattern with segmentation was very characteristic of this disease, although each of these findings, taken separately, was inconclusive, as it might be caused by other diseases.
