LA RELACIÓN TRABAJO-FAMILIA: UN DIÁLOGO ENTRE LA DOCTRINA SOCIAL DE LA IGLESIA Y LAS CIENCIAS SOCIALES

In this paper we present a dialogue between social sciences (especially Management) and Catholic Social Teaching (CST) on work-family relationships. Firstly, we summarise some basic contributions of management and the social sciences to work-family relations. Secondly, we describe the key insights of CST on this question. Then we suggest some changes for public powers, business enterprises and families better understanding and approaching work-family relationship, for sake of the common good of society.

El compendio de las «Res Novae». A propÓsito del compendio de la doctrina social de la Iglesia

The Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church is something more than an updated summary of the teaching of the Church regarding social issues. It has a fresh approach to society as a consequece of the method of this discipline: the Church has pervaded the current social situation in the light of faith, providing it with a compendium of the social dimension of the world, with its lights and shadows. From the standpoint of globalisation, answers are given to the new challenges in the area of work, economy, ecology, etc.
