Vector signal processing is more and more widely applied to improve the signal-to-noise ratio, target orientation and location, multiple targets identification, and acoustic engineering areas such as communications. But the more direct qualitative judgments using acoustic vector signals have been ignored. The characteristics of acoustic intensity flux in low frequency acoustic field of shallow water is studied using Pekeries waveguides. The numerical and simulation results show that either the horizontal or vertical acoustic intensity flux has both active and reactive components because of the interference between the normal modes. The active component of the horizontal intensity flux can help determine whether the sound source comes into a certain distance range around the receiver. The reactive component of the vertical intensity flux can be used to tell the sources specified depth. These findings are instructive for actual underwater engineering.

It is a very important content for the design and development of automatic ocean surveillance system to make the data acquisition, storage, processing and transmission of ocean surveillance effective. The thesis puts forward a special design method and plan of ocean surveillance multifunctional data acquisition process equipment in detail which provides a great deal of signal patterns such as, analog quantity, digital quantity, pulsed quantity, serial port signal for the ocean surveillance information automatic collection and huge information storage, providing linear communication and remote communication data transmission mode the ocean surveillance tasks probably take application, and also provides the display, analysis, query and processing functions of collected information. The equipment is designed as a simple setup that can be flexibly applied to all kinds of ocean surveillance tasks, which illustrates a good prospect of application and extension

The direct method and indirect method are used together to measure the velocity of medium, through velocity difference to judge the location of oil spill and the depth of immersion, and then to track the dynamic state of oil spill for post-processing.
