Simulation of dynamic electromagnetic interference environment for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle data link

Guo Shuxia; Dong Zhongyao; Hu Zhantao; Hu Chufeng

In order to test the anti-interference ability of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) data link in a complex electromagnetic environment, a method for simulating the dynamic electromagnetic interference of an indoor wireless environment is proposed. This method can estimate the relational degree between the actual face of an UAV data link in an interface environment and the simulation scenarios in an anechoic chamber by using the Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) theory. The dynamic drive of the microwave instrument produces a real-time corresponding interference signal and realises scene mapping. The experimental results show that the maximal correlation between the interference signal in the real scene and the angular domain of the radiation antenna in the anechoic chamber is 0.959 3. Further, the relational degree of the Signal-to-Interference Ratio (SIR) of the UAV at its reception terminal indoors and in the anechoic chamber is 0.996 8, and the time of instrument drive is only approximately 10 μs. All of the above illustrates that this method can achieve a simulation close to a real field dynamic electromagnetic interference signal of an indoor UAV data link.

Gao Ying; Liu Weiyuan; Lei Lei; Guo Shuxia

In a virtual battlefield environment, the 3D visualization of the abstract information of radar beam under the environmental influence of the terrain and weather is the current development trend of the visualization of electromagnetic information. In this article, we have designed two methods by the OpenGL function to complete the drawing of the spatial beam pattern that is inserted into the virtual battlefield environment. And then we combined the stereoscopic concept with the research, and studied the information visualization methods of the radar beam that were under the influence of different environmental factors with the premise of that the radar beam parameters and the terrain elevation data and other relevant parameters were acquired. At last, the users could be able to get electromagnetic battlefield information they need vividly and intuitively, which could make them determine more promptly.

Lu Xuqing; Gao Ying; Lei Lei; Wang Xiuliang; Guo Shuxia

Focusing on the research of simulation system for virtual instrument and application of the status, this paper analyzes several third-party software platforms to develop interface for virtual simulation in the Windows environment, then evaluates and compares their performance. With an example of using GL Studio software, we introduce a generating ActiveX control method based on the use of photographs and the method of drawing dial with programming to achieve realistic, and develop ActiveX control of Virtual Instrument by the specific software modules of GL Studio. At the same time, we achieve the organic integration between virtual simulation software platform and third-party applications based on COM technology. The realization method is proved to have good real-time and versatility in an engine test system.

Liu Weiyuan; Gao Ying; Ji Weijun; Guo Shuxia

Taking the development of an oil depot training system for instance, the key technologies and development process of the system are described in this paper. Firstly, we begin with the background and significance in the research subject, and then we expound the overall structure and functions of the system and design processes. Secondly, we lay special stress on analyzing the database design, including requirements analysis, structure design and database access design. The ideal combination between Windows Visual Studio 2008 and C# is applied to the realization of development platform and module functions. At last, we use Right Hemisphere Deep Exploration to realize multimedia design and development. As an exploration with practical meaning, the aim of this system is to realize an intelligent zed, systematic and interactive oil depot training system to satisfy the needs of efficient and lower cost for managers and trainers, which will promote the informationization and intelligentization of equipment support and will bring us efficiency and direct economic benefits.

Research on Visualization of Electromagnetic Information in Virtual Environment

Guo Shuxia; Liu Weiyuan; Zhang Jinhui; Gao Ying

In the article we research the visualization technology of electromagnetic information. It focuses on the drawing of the signals and multi-path signals transmission in the virtual battlefield environment. Firstly, we use the OpenGL functions to complete the drawings of the time domain signals and spatial beam patterns. Secondly, we build the propagation model which is based on the theory of geometrical optics and realize the visualization of multipath phenomenon. Finally, those drawings are inserted into the virtual battlefield environment built by Vega. Accordingly, the commanders could be able to get electromagnetic battlefield information they need vividly and intuitively, which could make them determine more promptly.

Gao Ying; Yin Yun-feng; Lei Lei; Ma Xiao-hui; Guo Shuxia

In view of the actual requirement of training simulation of aircraft, the use of virtual reality technology and visualization technology, we establish a platform for training simulation system of aircraft. This system is a comprehensive training platform for the virtual flight control, weapon launcher and virtual instrument. In this paper, analyze the key technologies of the system which are the multi-thread programming, multi-display, virtual instrument and DirectX technology and so on. And then expatiate on the methods and steps to implement the main functionalities. The practical application shows that the training system not only reduce training costs effectively, but also has strong sense of reality and good interaction.

Research on A New Coding-Modulation Method Based on Microwave Fading Channel

Guo Shuxia; Zhang Linxi; Luo Ronghui; Liu Ning

This paper discusses a new coding-modulation technique 4APSK-TCM which applied in microwave fading channel, analyses the main factors influencing tis capability. Aims at the situation since the bandwidth resources of microwave fading channel are limited, 4APSK-TCM coding- modulation method which improves the capability of microwave communication system without expanding signal frequency bandwidth has been put forward here. Simulated results by above method in a specified microwave channel show that: relative to the standard TCM method with the same signal bandwidth and SNR, 4APSK-TCM method reduces the bit error probability of system and is of significance in improving the dependability of microwave fading channel communication system.
